Worst app, never have a good experience
It seemed like a bought a 24h pass, but they charged me by the minute. When I noticed I tried again to buy a 24h pass and it didn’t work. And the customer service didn’t even try to help me. Divvy bikes may be nice, this app is crap.
They’ll take your money for little in return. Take the bud instead
During a recent trip to Chicago we thought this would be a great way to explore the waterfront. Neither the app nor the kiosk bike codes would work so we were out the money and the bikes hadn’t left the docking station! After 15 mins on hold we were provided a refund for one of the rides. Won’t use this service again and wouldn’t recommend it at all
This is the second time I’ve rented. Both times bought multiple passes and both times it short-changed me on bikes. Just called a number about it and got voice mail. It’s like going to a vending machine, putting in your money and not getting your chocolate bar.
What a scam! They have no care whatsoever for the customers! Support was awful to reach and then they would just try to scam you more. This is the most insecure transportation company. I would avoid any association with this company if I were you as they will just be rude, unavailable, and charge you an outrageous amount.
They tell you membership is 11$ a month, then make you pay for the entire year all at once which ends up being about $140. Ridiculous and skeevy tbh.
In Chicago for three days during decent weather, so these bikes are a great option. The bikes are super fun to ride. I have run into multiple problems in the first 24 hours with this app misleading me into purchasing either an annual pass or a day pass that does not actually cover the bike rides. The annual pass button popped up at my first ride in a place that appeared to be me agreeing to begin a ride. The app developers have created a deceptively and problematically frictionless purchase process; They are fronting more expensive upgrade products with without fully disclosing what you were buying or ensuring that that is what you really want. I had the same experience with a day pass the next morning. I understood that I was buying a day pass at least that would cover all my bike rides for the day, which was perfect since I am only in town for few days. The problem is the app does not clearly delineate between what are called “classic bikes,” and “E bikes” the latter of which are still charged in addition to the day pass. Although the physical product of writing, what turns out to be the Bike is actually really positive, this is a major issue of buyer beware and predatory app design. I had no trouble finding bikes they were charged and worked. Sometimes finding a dock was really annoying and you still get charged if you bring it to a docking station and park it there if the docks are full.
They summed you with a day pass! I used this app for the first time, and when you try to unlock e-bike they suggest you day pass, so it will be cost 18 buck for 24hours, but they doesn’t tell you that it is for classic bikes only!! So you pay for the useless day pass and plus 0.44$/minute! Without day pas price is the same!! It looks like SCUM The app should notify you, that day pass doesn’t applicable for e-bikes! By the way, they say that can’t refund money!!
Something went wrong Something went wrong Something went wrong Something went wrong Something went wrong This is all the stupid app ever says. Can’t change payment, can’t update payment, can’t add a new card. Thanks for leaving me stranded in Chicago. Your company is trash and so they app.
