Not working anymore

Ok, could app developers and hardware adaptor/adapter suppliers just provide clear instructions on the fundamentals of getting stuff up and running. I’ve just deleted my initial negative review, but between bluetooth classic setup (a manual selection in iphone ‘settings’), and the newer BLE bluetooth lite protocol, and then the bluetooth software ‘switch’ on the APP area of ‘settings’ in iOS that must be set to ‘on’ for Dr Prius app to gain access to operate, there’s a lot of bluetooth …. A lot that a dev or adaptor maker COULD be referring to when they say ‘make sure bluetooth is connected’. No, it’s not hard, not once you’ve done it, but that’s not who instructions are written for. If I wanted to flounder and figure it out the slow way myself, I’d be working in IT and getting paid for it. A great app, why not avoid spoiling the experience. Take care all.

one of the best apps out there for hybrid cars as it allows you to do alot more details test compare to the main dealer for a fraction on a prius. fixed my prius with the help of app and saved £1200. loving it

Helped me (a complete novice) diagnose the issue with my car. Appears to be a malfunction of the fan system which I can repair myself, rather than an actual failure of the battery. I was about to pay out my behind to have a new battery installed. If you’re considering a replacement of your hybrid battery I’d implore you to spend the $14 on this app + ~$20-40 on an OBDII reader. I used the recommended Veepeak BLE+ 4.0 Bluetooth model. Vastly cheaper than a new battery, and these tools will help me decide when it’s finally time to buy the bullet in the future. Hopefully not anytime soon!

See just about every vehicle listed except for the RAV4 Prime. Not sure why it’s not available. However there are some features that work marginally well. Would definitely purchase if RAV4 Prime is supported in full.

It works great for looking at the hybrid battery status and clearing minor codes. I find it odd that the app is called Dr. Prius but it doesn’t work on ABS codes. The ABS system is such a major part of the regenerative braking system and yet the app has no option to check the ABS system.

Anyone who owns a Prius should download this app. Quite simply, this app allows you to pull the needed battery codes and engine codes when problem emerge and know the current health of the battery. I don’t leave home without this app on my phone and the Bluetooth adapter in my glove box. It is as essential as a spare tire
