Dr. Prius / Dr. Hybrid

Helped me (a complete novice) diagnose the issue with my car. Appears to be a malfunction of the fan system which I can repair myself, rather than an actual failure of the battery. I was about to pay out my behind to have a new battery installed. If you’re considering a replacement of your hybrid battery I’d implore you to spend the $14 on this app + ~$20-40 on an OBDII reader. I used the recommended Veepeak BLE+ 4.0 Bluetooth model. Vastly cheaper than a new battery, and these tools will help me decide when it’s finally time to buy the bullet in the future. Hopefully not anytime soon!

See just about every vehicle listed except for the RAV4 Prime. Not sure why it’s not available. However there are some features that work marginally well. Would definitely purchase if RAV4 Prime is supported in full.

It works great for looking at the hybrid battery status and clearing minor codes. I find it odd that the app is called Dr. Prius but it doesn’t work on ABS codes. The ABS system is such a major part of the regenerative braking system and yet the app has no option to check the ABS system.

Anyone who owns a Prius should download this app. Quite simply, this app allows you to pull the needed battery codes and engine codes when problem emerge and know the current health of the battery. I don’t leave home without this app on my phone and the Bluetooth adapter in my glove box. It is as essential as a spare tire

Just recently downloaded "Dr. Prius App" and paired it with "PanLong OBDII Diagnostic Scanner for IOS & Android" and it works like a champ that connects Bluetooth instantly. Dr. Prius App was an excellent tools to monitor my Hybrid Battery including Life Expectancy Test, Full Battery System Diagnostic Test, Read and Clear the Battery & Engine Error Codes. I used it now regularly on my 2014 Prius Plug-In Hybrid with 195k miles so far to monitor my hybrid battery performance and specially to identify any relevant battery issue with ease using my IOS devise. Wi-Fi connection to OBD only for money!

This app isolated the bad battery blades in our gen 3 Prius… which allowed me to repair its traction battery myself for under $100. Worth every penny for that functionality alone. Also allowed for clearing errors and disabling that incessant reverse beep!

When on battery monitor it will cut off and freeze have to restart app does it every time around the 10min mark
