Bugs! BUGS! Bugs!
Embarrassing that a company as big as Square Enix can release one of their biggest and most popular titles on iOS and still after years and years the bugs haven’t been fixed. It’s like abandonware. The sound effects go missing in this game and never come back and you read several reviews here with the same issue yet the developer has not acknowledged or fixed them.
The developer and publisher should have a bit more respect for the Dragon Quest legacy and not release games that are plagued with bugs that are never fixed.
If you liked Dragon Warrior you'll love this
This is pretty much classic Dragon Quest, it's got the graphical improvements in line with the super famicom remake but to any fan of the original it will feel just as good. As the grandfather of console RPGs it may not have the complex story or parties of later entries or of Final Fantasy titles but it's still a solid enjoyable title that's more than worth the low price.
save yourself the money
runs terrible, only vertical layout, no customization, poor quality sound. this is not worth the price and should be removed from the store till it is optimized
In between calls
Amazing little rpg. Purchased on my phone to play in between calls (working as an admin) and it's easy to pick up and put down. Great to grind here and there to fill the time gaps. Easy and simple game
Why can’t I have music or YouTube in the background!
I love the game but the game stops completely after a battle or a prompt when I have music or YouTube playing. It’s annoying to have to restart my game for this.
No controller support
No controller support while the original game has it? Only portrait mode and no landscape mode? This is a terrible port Square Enix.

I wonder how many reviewers replayed it as an adult
This game I loved as a kid. As an adult? Not so much. There is hardly any plot. The enemy sprites just get recycled with different colours. Grind. Grind. Grind. Grind. Grind. Just to safely cross a bridge. To grind. Grind. Grind again. Supposedly they sped levelling up in this version? How bad was it before?

Loved this game as a kid like it now only two problems I have found so far is that my character MP doesn’t go up when it levels up and every time I log back in the character level goes back to level 4 can this be fixed
