EatSleepRIDE Motorcycle GPS

The app's UI is quite intuitive, GPS and speed data works great. But the lean angle sensor gives weird data sometimes (like a 60 deg lean on my cruiser in congested city roads) I do want to mention that my phone is usually in my jeans pocket so I want to try out a GPS mount and see if the lean sensor gives better readings. One suggestion that would change my rating to 5 stars: an iOS widget that lets you start recording rides in one tap from your home screen. It would make things seamless when starting a ride.

Crashlight got false triggered 3 times in a 800km ride.. & for no apparent reason (no sudden deceleration, stop, etc.). And ride metrics captured is very basic. Maybe networking is its USP... I haven't tried.

Nice app overall. Really easy to use. Easy way to connect to other bikers in your area. Only gripe/suggestion is starting/stopping rides is fiddly cuz you have to unlock the phone and open the app, it would be so much easier through a widget. Mayb in a future update?

In 2023 the price for an annual subscription of Crashlight (within the ESR app) was $14.99. One year later the price to renew/unlock Crashlight is $49.99. Seems like highway robbery to me. It’s a shame because I initially liked the app and the service it provides. But, I’m not willing to pay $50 bucks for it now.

Save yourself the time and the headache, and find a different app. This is trash.

Had lots of issues setting up profile as photo upload wasn’t working. Same with adding bike. Had to add it multiple times before it showed up. Seems like everything on the app is a post. When you add a bike it is a post. When you drive a route, it’s a post. Ya, that’s not for me. As for lack of features, there are no turn by turn directions. You can’t plan a route. When you do record a ride the lean data is garbage. So wanted this app to be awesome, but it is just so-so.

I have contacted support through email several times with no help so far. The app on my lobby to save my ride and I’ve lost 4 rides already because of it. If this is what users are to expect for support the I’m deleting this app.

Can we get an update so it scales to iPad. I use an iPad mini as my nav / communications while adventuring.

Tried to sign up. Stuck on the "allow location services screen" I press it and nothing happens. Sick app brah
