Edfringe

App mostly works well, and is a must-have guide for the Fringe. Would be better with a few bug fixes though: - Tickets are sometimes not viewable when offline, which has caused a few headaches given Edinburgh’s patchy internet coverage! - Venue directions are often unclear, and the feature in the app to get directions (‘Open in Apple Maps/Google Maps’) has twice sent us to the wrong venue!! It appears to search for keywords rather than the actual address specified - Would be useful to clarify the times for shows starting in the early morning (e.g. 1am) as the day/time presentation differs from the printed Fringe program and we missed a show in the confusion :(

It seems impossible that an organisation as large and well funded as edfringe which has had a phone app for over ten years can deliver something this fundamentally broken in 2024. But here we are. Huge volumes of ticket sales will be lost because of this app, which is a terrible shame for performers and a silly own goal for edfringe. Save yourself a very frustrating experience and don’t bother wrestling with this thing.

I have an iPhone 12 and frustratingly this app keeps getting stuck on one page I then have to reboot the phone in order to clear the page . Tried numerous times but just not working .

The app doesn’t fit on a phone screen so you can’t click next to get past the set up screens. Madness!

Can’t search shows and even shows listed not found. Tried to buy tickets and when it comes to the payment screen won’t advance to the payment part. Rubbish app not fit for purpose. There must be children involved in this app development. 0 star for frustrating app.

What a shoddy app - on iPhone it doesn’t adjust to screen size & much of the content falls off the right of the screen & can’t be scrolled to.

Just doesn't work !!

Loved this app last year, but this year nothing will add to the planner unless you’ve already bought the ticket - so the “planning” aspect is completely redundant.

The most useful function (planner) doesn’t work.
