Encountering Peace: Meditation

I have been a listener to devotion for a few years now it’s wonderfully put together and produced with a certain piano tune to accompany Drew’s amazing toned voice. I love how Drew reads scripture and sends you off to dream land WONDERFUL. Since the recent update nothing is playing and my wife and I feel alone without our bedtime soothe with Drew, please help we miss you reading our night time scripture, God bless M&K

First things first - I don’t do reviews!! However I feel moved & obligated to leave a review for this. I guess I do leave review now, so here we go: -The App is incredibly organised & well presented. - Easy to use with an Intuitive set up: I love the favourites option, daily email update & set a reminder feature. - Broad range of meditations which are relaxing, relatable and most importantly put Christ first. - Drew the meditation presenter, who I believe is the main person behind the app & Encounter movement has: a friendly soothing voice, always has a relatable story & uses a range of Bible interpretation which is great. - The option to donate is great (It became a no brainier for me when the app enabled me to overcome a really challenging period recently) Thank you and keep up the amazing work. Through this app you can access all of the meditations and mark your favorites to come back too. I’ve loved “Morning Has Broken” as I sip hot tea in the early morning and watch out my window. And as I’m having difficult challenges lately, I have found great comfort in “Sleep: Great promises of God.” It is simply Bible verses of God promises read with soothing music. It is an hour long and I’ve yet to make it to the end before I fall into a deep restful sleep. (And it’s also good to have it playing during the day!)

I’ll be honest. The first time I listened to a meditation I stopped it about a minute into it. I wasn’t a fan of the style and I’m pretty picky about voices. However, one very stressful day I decided to give it a shot again. I made myself finish the meditation and by the end of it I was used to the style and the voice. Now I use it daily and wouldn’t change a thing about it! My job is extremely stressful. I find that if I don’t stay focused and in the Word everyday I tend to spiral into an anxious mess. Adding this practice to my time with God has been such a blessing. Thank you for this app. Please continue to make new meditations. I can’t tell you how much you have impacted my life and helped me to find peace in the midst of chaos!

This app is really great. It’s such a blessing that it’s free! If you have trouble slowing down your mind this is a great way through some of that. I also love the sleep ones! Really helps especially when I’m sick and need rest.

I have lived a life with much turbulence and fire. Some by my own sin and some by the sin of others. Encounter has helped reconnect with the Holy Father. To feel His presence throughout my daily life. It gives me 10 minutes each day that I can fall in to the comfort of the loving arms of Jesus. I fall so close to him that it sometimes brings me to tears. Thank you for this beautiful experience!

For years I have had to search far and wide for meditation that was peaceful but also Christian-based. The fact that we meditate on the Bible is so wonderful because His Word is LOVE! So thankful for this app as another way to quiet myself before the King of Kings!

I really love this app and use it when I go to sleep at night. But I don’t care for the song you’ve stared adding at the end of each meditation. I’m calm and relaxed from the meditation and breathing… just about to doze off and then BAM the music starts. Please go back to the instrumental music you used to play.
