O My Soul Christian Meditation

This is a GREAT app. When tuned in, the Prayers are or have been VERY relevant to my spiritual stance/placement at the time. The REMINDERS remind me when Angels remind you to Pray. Thank you to the Team who produced this app.

Having comparatively recently become housebound it is hard to accept that I have new needs. I can manage in the house ( with a Walker - no not you Chas !) but once outside it gets difficult! I need an arm - as well as the Walker to get about. Living alone is fine up to a point but there are many times nowadays when I need a friendly hand and having two lovely people regularly to clean and help me to cope is making life much more easy. My daughter Jeni does most of the necessary phoning regarding pension matters etc but lives in Lincoln two hours away by road looking after her family. My other daughter lives an hour away and works full time at a university in York. My two lovely girls do all they can to help me but I find it hard to let go of the things I’ve taken care of for so long myself. However I’m so fortunate to have the help I need much of the time and if I want to get to church I have good friends a few minutes away who help me. My problem is me! Getting older and living alone is a tall order and one I never tire of moaning about (mostly to myself!) Currently I’m listed for sheltered housing in the area of my eldest daughter. I hope that means I can still maintain a good measure of independence as well as finding new friends who share common interests like Church and card making. I will miss this place; looking at the many dog walkers every day and appreciating good friends. So many good memories to look back on from York and here. I’ll never forget Ken Dodd at The Spa sitting with Val Taylor till gone midnight aching with laughing. I want to remember all the wonderful Christ Church events which keep popping into my head: all the amazing people God has brought together here. I recently discovered a lovely young lady who turned out to be my cousins daughter living not far away. She was organising a huge family event at Flambro for the Drewery clan (my family) but of course this had to be cancelled and hopefully will take place when it’s possible. This advent has been amazing and today in Bridlington the sun is shining the dog walkers and the none dog walkers are out and it’s a bright winter day. Doug and I would have been off walking on the Moors maybe on such a day as this. But I do have some amazing memories of long-distance walks - some during the night which had their own kind of magic - and those will hopefully stay with me!

I use the daily prayers to add to my daily prayers. It’s a good way to keep my mind focus on God and prayers throughout my day. Thank you very much for creating this app, I definitely would recommend it.

Excellent app all that I needed and more

Just wonderful having this on my phone. I’m reminded each morning and evening to say a prayer for god and everyone around me. To those who are suffering, for the afflicted and remembering to be kind and not too judge anyone. Thank you Jesus.
