The app is unusable. I have an account but when I log in it says I have to verify my phone number. When I try to do that, it says the phone number is already in use. Uh, yeah, because my account.
There is no link for help!
Also, many of the chargers are labeled CCScombo but have Tesla adapters stuck on Them. So you pull in thinking you can use the charger but SURPRISE, you cannot.
Garbage App
What a piece of crashing garbage. Can’t even scan the QR code. You’re the reason the car makers are switching to Tesla chargers.
Affordable, Reliable option for West Coast Drivers
I recently purchased my first EV. The first weeks of charging had a lot of failed charging attempts with various chargers. Happily, I found some nearby EVCS chargers, downloaded the app, chose a good plan for my situation and haven’t looked back. I am very happy with the subscription plan. It is by far the most cost effective. I have only had one issue with a charger that was out of order. They have very good coverage on the West Coast. Give it a try.
Blank map
The map has never loaded. Its always shown the numbers over a white canvas
High Mileage Premium Subscription isn’t worth price.
If you’re new to EV charging, I don’t recommend their programs. It appears they changed their stance on “unlimited” program which was attractive. Their charging network is still spotty depending on your area within California. For similar cost, there are better alternatives or contribute equivalent cost to solar panels at home.
Used to be better
This charging system was by far the best option for high mileage drivers/those using fast chargers >5 days a week. They used to have their unlimited plan for $199 a month and unlimited off-peak(10pm-6am) for $99 a month. I charge fully 1-2 times a day 6 days a week. The off peak plan allowed me to literally make an extra $500 per month driving 50 hours a week for Uber due to the cost breakdown to $25 PER WEEK for UNLIMITED CHARGING! I know more than a dozen people that now are spending an extra $500 a month on the next cheapest option for high mileage drivers. Was great while it lasted. Please bring back something similar to this!
Pre-Authorization hold issues
Tried first time and only time it will be.
Seems charged on and speed was acceptable. Shady neighborhood.
Finished and my cost came $14.50. Fine.
Friday Afternoon I check my mobile bank app and I saw 8 $30 hold!! 8!! 3 of them got credited back same day but other 5 did not come back after the weekend. Called customer service and he claim that usual hold is $50. Well thank the lord!! Im so glad 8 $50 was not hold.
I just got random pre written letter from supervisor. Only way to avoid pre-hold is pick one of their plan. I don’t need it cause I am renting EV. Still 8?? One I can understand but 8?? Horrible company.
Misleading Free Trial - Charged Early
I signed up for a free 7-day trial, but on the 4th day, I noticed the app still indicated I had 7 days left. Despite this, I was charged on the 7th day, three days before the trial period was actually up. This is deceptive and feels predatory. I reached out to customer support, but received no satisfactory explanation or resolution. I feel misled and disappointed. If you’re considering this app, be wary of the free trial terms and be prepared for unexpected charges. This practice is unacceptable, and I hope the developers address this issue promptly to prevent others from experiencing the same problem.
Scam—connection kept timing out
I was able to get maybe 12% of charge over the course of 1 + hours and nearly 7 attempts to get the charge to work. When it did work, it would abruptly end session without reason.
I called for support 3 times. They couldn’t help me. Now my credit card has a handful of $50 “temporary holds”. My gut tells me to monitor these amounts like a hawk and make sure it is returned to me… it feels very sketchy that they would make a charge for each attempt without successfully connecting and actually charging my car…
Buggy
The app has lots of bugs. One big bug is that on smaller phones, Register and Forgot Password links overlap, and thus you cannot reset your password. In order to reset your password, you either have to borrow a friend’s larger phone or call support and have them send you the reset link via email. They refuse to fix the app. They just don’t care. Second big bug is app randomly logs you out when using the app, and you cannot log in again, giving you the invalid credentials error. Only solution is to reset password, which can only be done in the app. Why you can’t do it online on a PC or a mobile browser is beyond me. They just don’t care.
As for charging, in Los Angeles they have the best monthly unlimited plans, but… chargers are all 50 kW max,so expect to charge in 60 to 80 minutes. Chargers are also offline often. Chargers also in extremely bad neighborhoods like Wilmington and South Central. There is a huge gap between South Cental and Anaheim where there are no chargers. So few chargers. I suffer because working rideshare I need to save every penny. Only use this charging network if you are desperate.
