this game is actually fun. I always wanted to play the eve online, but I couldn’t since Eve echoes released on a phone. I was really hyped up to play till I find out that in Weather to play high tier you have to pay for Omega, which is really disappointing. I wish this game was free to play rather than not people paying every month to get omega and play a game. That reason I quit this game long ago.
New Update eliminates “middle class”
Jan 1, 2025 update: The developers have taken a page from the mega alliances and instituted fees for corporations to have friendly diplomatic association with each other. The fees for having just one friendly association are more than the monthly omega fees, which pay wall access to fundamental game mechanics. Overnight the small corps/alliances that came together to protect themselves from mega alliances were wiped out due the the cumulative fees per friendly diplomatic association. The game is already heavily monetized, and recent Net Ease lay offs have me concerned that the time and money invested in assets and friendships is uncertain. Nov 29 2024, Net Ease shut down an entire game division of 1600 employees w/ no severance. A couple weeks later Net Ease shut down their new Japanese gaming team, ending a live service game and 600+ employees sacked. My concern is that Eve Echoes just isn’t earning what Net Ease wants from the game and the devaluation and then inflation of in game currencies (including materials), assets, and now simple association (in a game based on social interaction) represents a desperate measure to further lead us into incremental transactions under the pretense that it will “help” small communities thrive.
Original Review— I really love playing this game with the people I have met, but the fees are too much for a small corp like mine. The game is pretty and sometimes fun if you make friends. I’ve played it off and on since it started. There are several mega alliances that have monopolized space and resources, RMT sell goods for money online, extorting smaller groups and individuals, unprecedented cheating and multiboxing, broken mechanics, broken mIRC type chat system, unsupported game mechanics such as the “information” option, ridiculous censoring of words like: refund, court, noob, free Hong Kong, etc, pay to win through gambling mechanics, in game currency value constantly reevaluated, NETEASE coders regularly chase their mistakes, awards earned by corps taking two years to deliver now that the corps don’t exist because they’re sick of it, majority of big items in market controlled by a dozen people, predatory players in toxic help chat system like “notspacepopexi” , 4yr celebration was pay walled requiring $20-50 to enter, items in store celebration were gambling boxes requiring 60 entries requiring real money to transfer to game money. Still reading? I can’t recommend this game to anyone I care about.
Amazing game! Bravo!
This is proof that full MMOs can be played on mobile devices. Deep content. Great mechanics. 5 stars!
Amazing
love the game!!
Game community is second to none
Game can be all about the grind pretty often, the more relaxing the activity the more you have to do of it to grind what you need, alternatively you can risk it all and do tons of pvp and exploring and earn way more. Highly recommend joining a group asap or else it gets real boring real fast. Careful about who you pick though and don’t be scared to leave your group for a better one if they aren’t for you (or just a dead group)
game has a potential
this game is good and has a bright future if it will not be so credit card oriented. best items are aviable only for irl money and some of them are so so expensive . average player cant get 80% of good items, cant fully join events because they are always cash grab. this is nothing like eve online. the greedyness of game devs is too much.
Relaxing until it isn’t.
There’s three main things to do in this game. Mine and craft, fight and sell. There’s a vibrant economy alive and well so if you want to buy low and sell high you can. There’s a lot of various types and classes of ship to choose from as you level up as well as various types of weapons to outfit your ship with. Being an industrialist you can either buy materials on market to build anything and everything that people use from rigs to weapons to support modules to ships, or you can skill up in Mining and go collect the ore and planetary materials yourself. Game play is basically you find a corporation to join, best if there’s a lot of players and they have a section of space. Some corps have very specific standards and expectations but most will just let you choose how involved you wish to be. They can help you with questions you have as the game kind of leaves you to figure out the details on your own. You can travel around and explore on your own but once you leave high security space (0.5-1) other players who have embraced the pirate life will brutally murder you and take your stuff with absolutely no remorse. But if you know how to keep your eyes open and maintain a vigilant guard you can either be prepared to hide or slip away before they even know where you are. I’ve had a lot of fun with this game, been playing for over a year but some people on there have been playing for several.
Vale la pena
Un poquito pay to win pero vale la pena. Igualmente puedes jugarlo sin pagar pero demorarás más en pasarte el juego.
RMT FTW
Except you’re not the one wining. Imagine sitting down to a game of poker where everyone at the table can see each other’s cards and the deck but you. You still could win but you won’t.
