Brilliant app

Well designed and easy to use and the fact that you can earn money just by using it is fantastic. I did have a few problems with it charging my car when I didn’t want it too (i.e. peak rates instead of night time rates) but the support team were very engaged in finding a solution and everything is now working as expected. I love these guys.

Useless for charging in public

M_underscore on

I was directed to this app to charge at an Outlet mall. It wants so much detail about a private charger that you may or may not have. Ridiculous how these apps are so intrusive when all I want is to charge my car.

Slow connection?

Superdoc73 on

Would be great except always allows charging as soon as car plugged in despite it being set to off-peak charging only. This means first hour is at more expensive rate. As a result have charging unit set to off-peak only to prevent this so only benefit is now the rewards points. Shouldn’t need to use 2 separate controlling systems for this to work as needed

A brilliant app to control your charging costs!

I was already impressed by the app features, my favourite being setting a maximum electricity price limit (being on Agile Octopus), but the dev team have excelled themselves with the latest feature of allowing decimal places in the price limit, so no longer will the price being 0.01p per kWh over a round number catch you out!

WARNING - Unable to charge

FlirtyBertie on

Setup for Easee One / Tesla Model 3, scheduled smart charging failed to start and boost was non responsive, at this point I discovered I could no longer manually start charging from Easee app as ev.energy had taken control. There should be a clear warning that setting this up may prevent some home charger apps from functioning which in my case has prevented me from charging. That said support have been very responsive, and got back to me within 8 hours but issue remains unresolved.

The most unfriendliest app ever

Following recent updates, my wife can no longer use my log in on her phone. Neither can she start her own account as she is already a user! By deleting the app and starting again she cannot get past the your car section as she doesn’t have the VW app and doesn’t want it. I am considering at my own expense ditching the whole set up and starting again with something more helpful and friendly. Also no option to speak to someone for help! Avoid!

App not working for new user.

Not connecting, plugs in and charges, but app says not connected to internet. Apparently I need to turn it off and on again, but cannot find off/on switch. Just hope nobody steals my electricity.

Good intention, but to complex

JeyPaul13 on

Vereinigtes Königreich

App has good intentions and features to try and charge at cheaper prices, but fails on the purpose of electric car: plug, scan and charge. Not every time you want to connect your vehicle to their account, turn smart charge etc. Pretty difficult to charge if you don’t accept all the suggestions of the App to connect account to a car manufacturer, etc. I gave up to use it at a station at RHS Wisley.

App signs you out constantly

Never used to have a problem with this app but in the last month or so I open the app and I have mysteriously been signed out.

Constantly logs out

Worked perfect at first but now I’m having constant issues with the app logging out Almost every time I open the app I have to log back in very frustrating
