Absolutely useless way of registering, because it does not work - constantly says ‘something went wrong’ Ive got loads of unregistered tools because of this approach. Just hope I don’t need the warranty.

I love festool. I’m 57 and the tools make my working life enjoyable. Who doesn’t love accuracy. And dust free.

The best thing I liked about this app was the battery information, it was fantastic. But every time there is an update you have to re link all your batteries back to the app again! Which you don’t want to do every few weeks when you are working and need to see the information. The next thing was the battery cycles list which was fantastic but now the last update has pushed this information to the back of the menu You had it perfect Festool but not now. I just did a YouTube review on this app but by the time I had put it out the app was changed! Please app engineers can you put the battery charge cycles back on the front page of each battery so you can see that right away, when you have many batteries to manage this is the first bit of information you need, it will determine which battery you charge first. Impossible to register a brand new tool with receipt scan etc onto either the app or via the website. So I have a three year warranty on a tool that officially doesn’t exist. It’s a dysfunctional mess.

I can no longer sign in and the app just gets stuck. Festool,I keep seeing you promoting this app but maybe you want to work on making it work first!

After some initial critical issues with this app, and having been in contact with Festool support I am now enjoying its features. The app and architecture may have been missing some coverage in their integration tests, which I’m pretty sure they’ve rectified now.

I can no longer get beyond the “enter email” section on login. Quite annoying really

Bought new midi vac & two cordless tools, batteries communicate with vac, but vac does not work with Festool app, so can control vac, update software or be warned of problems. Not great customer service either, they are aware of problems but haven’t released app update

Registering tools via QR code works quite nicely, but I can’t for the life of me work out how to pair my phone with my CTL Midi. From the instructions it should be a straight forward process of holding down the pairing button for 3 seconds and the app picking it up, but for me nothing happens in the app. I’m using an iPhone 11 with the latest iOS 14.2 and the latest version of the app. There’s at least one other review here with the same issue, so I assume it’s a software problem and I hope it can be resolved in a swift update!

The app and all my Bluetooth batteries were connected and working fine until after the last update. My MIDI dust extractor no longer connects to my phone via Bluetooth for some reason. The batteries still connect to the app but not the extractor.
