Foscam

Haven’t been able to open it for a few days. Paying for cloud too.

I have 4 Foscam cameras. The computer based apps (camera detector and Foscam VMS) work fine, but the iPhone app is terrible. You can see the cameras are already connected when you search to add, but when you try to bring up camera video in app, it just times out. This is with 4 different Foscam models, so I’m certain the app and not the cameras. I was considering purchasing Foscam cloud, but recommend everyone hold off on that until the bugs in this app are fixed.

I experience no instability issues. Deployment of my particular surveillance project was quick - totally plug and play - and so far I have no major complaints. It does what I need it to do and does it well.

I’ve been a user for years. I went overseas a couple of years. I shut down the service. At my return I can’t start my account because I have a new cc. Email responses do no address my problem. I’m unable to use the cloud. It’s useless that way.

a lot of motion but no detection not detecting, like literally. it's frustrating to have my door knocked on and not have my doorbell notify me before hand when someone is walking towards the door, sensitivity is set to high so why am I experiencing these issues. the app is also using up to 10 GB of storage on my phone what gives?

Can’t connect at step landing. Waste time and money. Don’t buy Foscam.

So much for cloud storage of motion detection. This app just stores the videos on your phone. I had 55gb of data tied up by this app.

The app crashes as soon as I try to connect to my NVR. Garbage.

Was somewhat hesitant to buy Foscam based on the poor reviews of the app. But decided to take a chance. Haven’t had the camera installed long enough to review the hardware, but the app is working fine for me. About the only thing I don’t like so far is it takes longer than I’d like to get a notification when a person or a car is detected in view. Might be a setting I can adjust but I’ve played around with most of the settings and nothing makes it better, and my camera is connected to my 5G network with very solid connection status. So the issue is not my wireless connection. But all in all this app isn’t as bad as the 2.4 star rating would make you believe.

I am so sorry we purchased this system. The app has problems connecting to the camera. And when it finally does after 100 tries there nothing you can do without paying them $$$ for a subscription to see a recording. I have their other app, Foscam NVR. Garbage too. Looks like the removed it from the App Store. Ugh.
