App stopped working using IOS 18.3 beta. Phone cannot find sensor Bluetooth connection. Other apps Bluetooth is working.
The new box of Libre 2 comes with an important label saying to download latest app version. I have an iPhone SE (2020) with iOS 18.2. On the freestyleLibre.com website the Mobile Device & OS Compatibility pdf it says that my phone is compatible but only has iOS 15.5-17.5.1. Please help so I can scan my Libre 2 sensor using the app.
Been using this app for a year with no trouble but it suddenly conked out when my iphone went to iOS 18.2. Both Abbott Labs and Apple are busy pointing the finger at each other, and there is no plan to fix this any time soon.
Worked for 6 days, then all I get is “sensor unavailable, try again in 10 minutes.” Ridiculous!
Notification reset.. tells me to go to settings and turn on alarm alert… it wasn’t turned off.. app stuck on this now and won’t work.
The 3rd time I’ve used this app for readings and again in 2 1/2 days nothing but alarm problems and then app not working because of the alarms. This is the worst medical app that I’ve ever used. How tragic this is for people who have diabetes which is a medical issue and you fail them. Libre 2 stops scanning 2 to 3 days then all you get is alarms unavailable and you can’t scan and get a reading! The problem is with the alarms! Who ever created this Libre app for medical purposes needs to go back to school. You also can’t seem to fix anything on this libre app from these bad reviews I see. I will no longer use any Libre app I will purchase the sensor and THE scanner to receive my readings for up to 14 days.
Every other sensor fails, either immediately or half way through its 14 day life span.
Overall, I love using my Libre 2. It has made my life a lot easier, and I really appreciate the peace of mind it gives me. However, it definitely has its limitations. One thing that I think would drastically improve the experience is to give us the option to set more alarms. I have my high glucose alarm set to go off if my sugar goes above 200mg/dL, but the alarm only sounds when that threshold is passed. Often, I will take insulin when my sugar goes high but I won’t know if my sugar continues rising or stays high unless I manually check it again. If we had the option to add a second high glucose alarm I could set it for, say, 250mg/dL and then I would know if my sugar was still raising without having to recheck. I’ve talked to many other people using this system and they have all agreed it would help. It would be such a quality of life improvement to be able to set more alarms in the app.
This is pretty critical!! There is no way to contact the team and get this fixed. Just updated iOS on MiL’s iPhone SE2. App now says alarms not available. Scan sensor. Well, we just activated a new sensor and keep scanning it. // Set it up on my & my wife’s iPhone 15 as backup - app does not allow turning of alarms or flat out refuses to work. Now we’re both stuck with incessant and unmutable out of range alerts, as we go around the house, work, … RIDICULOUS ! My MiL’s condition is stable, we buy the sensors out of pocket for convenience … let us take the responsibility of MUTING your app.
I wanted to like this app, despite the poor reviews before I downloaded it. I know it’s easily googled, but just the fact that you can’t register two sensor devices with one app, like on the same phone is so inconvenient. What if there’s one phone in a household that can download the app but two people are diabetic? Regardless of that, the Bluetooth connection and availability to connect to the app is so finicky. I get the alerts that say that it can’t detect the sensor, that it’s a critical level, because it all registers is “critical” with the alert system, but it doesn’t take into account that it disconnects itself nonstop. So many times I try to get a reading and it says it’s not available and I have to wait 10 minutes, but then after 10 minutes, it’s still disconnected and you never get a reading after all. I will stay up until 6 AM doing everything I can trying to get a reading, but I would say 75% of the time it will not let me get a reading, which means my curves are messed up, which means I can’t get averages, which means everything is sporadic, and it is incredibly frustrating. If the Bluetooth and the app and the sensor all connected more consistently and reliably, most of these problems would be so solved. I actually haven’t read any of the other reviews yet, but I would imagine when I do read them. I will have the same problems as everybody else.
