Starts off nice but then they bottleneck you
It starts off really sweet, amazing animation/graphics style, beautiful concept, easy to get the hang of.
Very quickly though, they force the concept of ‘heroes’ on you. You are now introduced to multiple in-game currencies which are used to upgrade heroes. If you don’t upgrade heroes, or if you don’t have the right heroes, you are limited in game progression (you can’t put more workers to work, you can’t feed your survivors good meals so they starve to death, you can’t progress in the “map” battles because the enemies are too powerful).
You get to a point where you need to open the app every 2 hours to collect numerous accumulations of points and stars and etc, because it’s not a truly idle game, and so you slowly build up whatever necessary wealth you need to upgrade your heroes. But then. You realise that you can’t just upgrade heroes, you need to first collect cards and red stars. If you don’t have enough of either you can purchase gems to cover the rest of the cost. But there’s no way for you to just buy a hero directly, you need to buy some form of currency to semi-gamble your way (through opening chests) into getting lucky enough to get the right cards for the heroes you need. I just wish the game could stay wholesome and not progressively add things to the side of your screen (events, mail, map, airship, heroes, battlefield)

What is advertised about this game? It’s completely different to what you do is. Spend money. Don’t get.
Fun gameplay and design but very pay to play
Been playing for a long time now and have been enjoying it but hate having to pay for heroes as they never drop in the boxes and without certain heroes the survivors die off quickly or can’t progress.
Good game, but constantly wanting money
As title suggests, good game, very immersive but constantly spamming you to buy more packages. I could buy AAA titles on Steam for the amounts they are asking for cumulatively here. My preference is to drop $300 on decent titles rather than on micro transactions in a phone app.
Can’t reach level eight on map
Hi, I love the game, but I can’t scroll to location 8 on the map PS I’m on iPhone 14 Pro in case that matters please fix this if you can because it is actually a fun game. Thank you for the time to read this
Alright game, but it is sometimes pay to win. Have to manage your time and resources.
I’m up to city 10, the Oil Rig, and i’ve noticed that the cities with Hunter’s Cabins as the food source are a bit harder to maintain a consistent food supply if your heroes are not high level.
I’m mid to late stage of this city, and i’ve just got my hero to level 60 to finally keep in net positive of food supply for 48 survivors.
The hunter cabin is maxed out so i will have to now pay diamonds to level up my hero more when i upgrade the last 4 cabins for 8 more survivors.
Having growable food sources as the staple is easier to keep up with the number of survivors you accumulate.
To help manage this, i’d appreciate having the food production vs expenditure show up in the statistics list like coal, iron etc. does, maybe have its own tab. Please Devs?
city 3 is not that bad
I didn’t have the epic hero for the steel or the one for the machinery for 9 hrs yet I beat city 1, city 2, and city 3 within two days
And I am not p2w, just do the events and your good
Eh
I was actually half enjoying this game and spent a bit of money on crates/gems, however, I've logged on today to find that they've reduced the offline earnings timer from 8 hours to 2 and put a paywall up to get the missing 6 hours.
I'll pass & I'll be removing the game from my phone. 👍🏻
I only play the mini games now
I am up to my 4th city and I really enjoy the game but I can never upgrade my characters as you never get the cards to be able to level up and hire more workers. I only play the mini games now and it’s disappointing.
It’s okay but extremely slow
At the beginning of the game you progress through at a great speed, they ask for a review and you give a good one because you think its great. Than all of sudden you get to the third city (level three) and you hit a massive slow down. You can’t progress at any speed because they want you to buy two characters and if you don’t the factories pretty much comes to a stop as you can’t keep upgrading, you can’t put worker on and can’t keep up with demand from the other factories. Which mean you can’t upgrade anything, even after days of playing you get no where. They do have events that lead you too a different place and you get to upgrade them, keeps you distracted for a moment but obviously only lasts so long. The only good thing about these is they give you a bonus when the events over. Unfortunately this only gives you a small amount not really letting you progress much, unless you are willing to spend money I wouldn’t suggest this game.
