Garmin Dive™

Just be mindful if you are migrating from another dive computer that you’ll have to manually upload all your dive logs before you use the Garmin dive computer for its first dive. If you do not then it’ll start at dive 1 and it’s a lot more tough to reorganise your dive profile. To log 150+ dives on the app (coming from a Suunto DX) it took me almost a week as it takes ages per log to compose with all the information. When you log a dive from your Garmin computer, it transfers across a lot of info from the dive profile which is amazing! So far I’m happy with the app and can’t fault it.

Hello garmin developers! I love the garmin dive app. I have a couple of suggestions in case could be added in new releases. 1/ in you do a decompression stop it is marked on the depth graph…could you also include same info when you do a safety stop?? 2/ would be possible to add like a fish database so you add which fishes you have seen in your dive and the app manually upload a picture? I believe both suggestions could be (easily?) implemented. Thumbs up for your great work!

This dive computer app. and the Descent Mk-1 I’ve been using for around five years now (since released). I’ve been using the watch for Ironman triathlons to sport dives, and cannot really fault the watch or the app. I just love it!

As a beginner diver, this is fantastic, as I’ve been able to show my depth profile to my instructor to find out how to better control my buoyancy, and consume less air. There are 2 things I would really like though: - The ability to export a csv file of my depth profile during a dive (other beginner divers I went diving with wanted to do further analysis) - The ability to combine some short dives together. There was a dive of 7m where we did exercises, where we surfaced to get quick explanations. I get that this is considered three separate 5 to 10 min dives, but having three short dives in the dive log is annoying (especially if I want to show a different instructor my dive history)

When I tried to share the dives and they sent you ti o choose a photo, the photos doesn’t show the most recent one… just showed random old photos and when you scroll down everything just disappeared. This was never been an issue before, only recently. Not sure why

Introductiom of an offline mode basically broke the app. I can only view my recent dives in the offline mode. They only appear after I go into plane mode and disappear when I go back online. Sometimes the home screen is just completely broken and displays an error message saying that there was an issue loading my dives. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Seems like some caching issue where there is two racing sources of data.

Overall this is just the app I am looking for but there’s a few frustrating bugs that Garmin doesn’t seem to fix. I would like to add all my dive history (from written log books going back over 10 years). You can do this but there’s no Year menu so it’s impossible to input the date. Please fix! Also the app keeps defaulting to Imperial from Metric without me changing this. Having dived using metric I hate having to keep changing this through the setting every time I open the app.

While the mk3i is a great dive computer this garmin dive app is trash. An absolute embarrassment. If you do not plan to improve the dive log with basic features then at lease allow us to use a better dive app. Mac dive and subsurface are both much better dive logs but garmin will not allow other apps to connect the the dive computer directly. So you need to use the garbage gamin app to get the data off then type it into a real dive log. Lame. Fix the app and stop blocking data export with all the errors.

Please Garmin Dive add this feature: when deleting a dive please make the numbers update automatically! I have a pool training session on dive ~10 that I need to delete and now I have to manually edit over 100 dives!

Love this dive watch / fitness computer. The heart rate monitor is top rate. Helped me to know when I needed to go to the ER. Ended up having a heart ablation. The dive app is extremely well thought out!
