3 years old boy
We started to notice our son is acting differently comparing to his sister. There were behaviours showing autism since he was 2. We are in Canada so the assessment here is slow. But we didn’t want to wait, we wanted to do some therapy. He was diagnosed with severe communication skills by a speech therapist. And it will take a year be properly diagnosed him. We saw this online on FB and started on a 7 day trial. He is in level 5. He is very good in labeling, like numbers, colors, letters. But not really communicating a back and forth conversations. He started the videos, he was not saying the words but he was really watching it. 4 days in, he started to point to me what he wanted with full sentences. I was surprised. They were short but he made sentences by himself. He was saying sentences before but they were “heard” like “what goes up must comes down” he usually says. But he finally started to converse. I am looking forward in continuing his videos right now and will go from there. It was very uplifting for us thinking now we know what he was thinking and now he can express them instead of having a tantrum. Thanks everyone in Gemini. It’s very promising. In this pandemic era, I am very optimistic that I can educate my child even if the therapy takes is on hold and longer here. Thanks.
