Gig Hard! Autoscrolling Lyrics

There’s just so many little annoying things about it that just make it such a stressful and unhelpful app to use. If you’re setting up lyrics to play at a gig, ease of use and availability to have everything look and be set up the way you want is extremely important. This app doesn’t provide that. Everything has to be in the same font size, you can’t have one set of words smaller than the other. When you’re editing your lyrics/script it won’t be the same when you go into gig mode. For example, if I put chords above my lyrics, when I go into gig mode they will be all scrambled everywhere and in the wrong place. Which just makes it impossible use really. If you mistype/misspell a word and press the phones prompt to correct it, the app will glitch every time and put the correct word in but leave your previously misspelt word. So you have to go back and delete it. It’s just a big of a mess really. It’s probably okay if all you need are lyrics and you don’t need chords above any words. But the whole app just feels really glitchy, it’s really hard to use and it feels cheap.

I have been looking around for the perfect lyric app, as currently sing in two bands, so have to deal with a LOT of lyrics! I needed to have a support during live performance, as I try my best to learn the songs, but don’t need the additional pressure of trying to remember all of the lyrics. Gig Hard has solved all of that!! So easy to use, as I already save all of the songs into a word document, I just had to export it as a .TXT doc, save it to my cloud docs and then simply add the song title, copy and paste and song created. Once you have your song library, its simple to create a set list and then just add songs, rearrange as you need and gig. The Gig feature is excellent, easy to read on an iPhone, which I have clipped to the mike stand, so looks really professional. Love this App! Thanks Dante, you have set my performance free!

Great app for creating set lists. I keep reminders for each song which is great when your giging and flicking onto the next song. Great support from the app developer when needed.

Really easy to use and scroll speed and font size changer really intuitive and practical. Made my life so much easier !

I Use this in all my gigs excellent bit of kit but not only that the level of support from the man that came up with the app is unprecedented so helpful recommended this to anyone singing in a group

I have been using GigHard for some weeks now, having previously used other apps of this type. I found the app easy to use, so much so that I bought the setlist upgrade. Editing within the app is relatively easy and the ‘gig’ element is very useful for scrolling the lyrics at various speeds, though even at the lowest, it is occasionally a tad too speedy. However, the ability to tap to stop and start the scroll helps with this. Importing songs from Dropbox is relatively easy though it would be useful to have some form of synching ability, for example, across iPhone and iPad. It would also be useful to be able to import pdf files so that sheet music can be used within the app in addition to text-based material. My only problem with the app was when upgrading to the most recent version on my iPhone. I found that the app no longer enabled the setlist upgrade. However, after emailing Dante about the issue, we were able to achieve a fix which solved the problem. So, this is a very useful, easy to use app for gigs and sessions which would be improved by having the facility to import pdf files and to synch across devices.

So you create a a set list and add a song then when you go to align the text to centre the app immediately crashes and closes down. When you go back to where you left off it’s all gone! Very poor considering that the app is about text and such a basic textual function crashes the app. Also when you create a set list and add songs (unedited, would dare centre text again), then you click on a particular set list to discover there’s nothing in it. This app is pretty pointless really and you have the audacity to charge for it. I’m quite tech savvy. On iPad 2018 and have paid for this app. Yet it may as well be a screensaver cause it doesn’t work! I would like my money back, as this is a con!

Honestly. You write songs and they’re wrote on A4 in a file you simply can’t take everywhere with you. Well now you don’t have to. This is ‘every song’ i have written 100+ songs, sat in my pocket on my phone. Attach the phone to a phone holder on your guitar and your good to go. Scrolling down (your song) times how YOU prefer. Absolutely awesome. Thank you

1. Does the job. A basic app to create set lists. 2. Needs the ability to rename set list. 3. Needs the ability to import from iOS notes. 4. Doesn’t read songs from iTunes (it is now Music). It would be good if it auto calculated tempo from song files.
