Very unreliable ,goes down repeatedly.When it does work it is fine

Useless app it never works , impossible to manage your usage because the app never ever works . I’ve installed it a million times . Needs to be sorted in the worst possible way

Thought I would leave an up to date review as there are two others from a long time back and the app has clearly come a long way since. As such I think it’s not reflective of the app in its current state or fair to GivEnergy team who have developed and are still developing it. In my opinion the GUIs are all functional, good looking and plenty robust. Yes there could be more dials and knobs for more customisable features and user settings, but I am sure this will come. For now I suspect every GivEnergy solar battery owner has this app and uses semi frequently (or, if like me, many multiple times daily!) to good effect. Just today (version 2.8.0) the much awaited local 10s Auto-data refresh was added, bringing us a better user experience. Also, the new online portal is now out of beta and adds most of the extra functionality that isn’t currently available on the app. All in all as a relatively recent customer of GivEnergy I am pleased with the current state of these tools and am looking forward to what come in the near future and onwards.

What started out as a very poor app has improved considerably over the months and is now a very useful tool more both monitoring and controlling my system. Keep up the good work 👍

So long waiting for app have forgotten password , app doesn’t give option to reset — so pretty useless

New version looks better but now have to login each time. It doesn’t store the credentials.

Main screen shows “- -“ instead of values, the help menu doesn’t work it just says “question question question question”

Another update that has not addressed the timed discharge dumping the battery storage to grid. Eco mode randomly turning on and off dumping battery storage to grid. Please sort it.

Could accept the app limitations but inexcusable that it still can’t connect locally with both the inverter and the router less than 10 feet away

Update for 2024: So having used this for a year have had to reduce it from 2 stars to 1! The app has become significantly more unstable over the last year or so. Can only assume their app development and coding department spend all their colouring in as they clearly don’t put any effort into IT! Old review from 2023: Like others have commented this app often struggles to find the inverter on the local network. Furthermore, we ended up with GivEnergy as our solar installer (Octopus Energy) uses them; however GivEnergy is an absolute con of a company! Have any issues with the app, your inverter; your battery? Forget it, zero help from support, they already have your money so don’t care in the slightest.
