Come on, you need a better app. It’s so clunky and confusing

Loyal and long time fan of Go Car. One thing I would love is a calendar invite that I can add for pick up and drop off so I can book, add to my calendar and get a reminder before my booking starts and another notification before my booking ends. Some other apps offer this.

Tried to register but never received the sms code after giving email and a password … hopefully not a phishing scam 🤔

The app experience is mixed. Tells you when car if car is available or not but not when so its an unnecessary trial and error to see if there is an alternative slot nearby. Frustrating. The car closing with app is mixed.

We were hoping to use this service during a recent move, their “aim” is to have licenses validated within 24 hrs. After 48 hrs I rang their help line to see if anything could be done and was told another department deals with it and nothing could be done. Almost an entire week later and still pending, I’ve heard similar and worse for others. Thankfully we used DriveYou and were approved in an hour, will not be using this company whenever I eventually get verified.

I’ve just registered and trying repeatedly to login… prompted to insert my email but not at all possible as there is no typing option presented. Was this even tested or how is it possible to release an app this buggy.

BEWARE: if you have to put petrol in the car, the YUKO fuel card often doesn’t work, and they’re very slow at processing refunds. Some petrol stations won’t allow you to fill the car unless you promise to pay yourself if the card doesn’t work - that’s how frequently it happens. The app is a mess. It can’t update itself without closing and reopening it, sometimes you have to log back out and in again. You always get an error message that it can’t find the keys, then it can, then you have to connect to the car, then you have to unlock it (GoCar does that in one step) The app frequently loses contact with the car. Be wary if you’re in a rural area, it’s often hard to get a Bluetooth connection.

Takes ages to get verified! And on top on that working house for support team are wrong ! Instead 8-10pm as said on the app they are working 9-6pm 🤦🏻‍♂️ why did I bother to register with go car ?

Takes over 20s to load on my iPhone 15. Not fun when you’re standing in the rain trying to get your car open. The various loading animations get very old very quickly.

i have used Gocar for almost 10yrs regularly ( about €1500 -2000 per year. their recent fleet of keyless cars is a disaster primarily as the app cannot function adequately or reliably to open and close the car during a journey. the app often freezes so one cannot lock or unlock the car without calling their emergency & accident phone number for gocar to do this remotely ( & up to 15min wait time by the side of a road in all weather). this is a risk for gocar. if users cannot lock it , the risk if theft is significant. have Gocar’s insurers been made aware if this inflated risk caused by their own app issues and over reliance on app to lock a car during a journey. the practical solution of course is to leave the car fob in the glove compartment, where the key would have been found, so users can open & close the car with the fob independent of app during a journey. a simple solution that would help gocar & user. reliance on app only for simple lock/ unlock functionality during a journey is ridiculous. there are many urban areas without network coverage / pockets of no coverage. all keyless cars bought come with their own fob. put them in the glove comartments Gocar to save yourselves the hassle & theft risks you , as a company are taking due to your over reliance on app functionality. the app is unreliable for users and a risk for Gocar in the keyless cars.
