This heater would be fantastic if the auto timer was consistent, unfortunately it isn’t and I will be returning the heater.

For some reason, the blanket occasionally goes offline. Only one side, so it is not a power failure. No big deal, just an observation

Bought this heater and app for my sons room and it’s extremely dangerous. Turned off the heater before bed in the app, went in the room the next morning and it was still on. The app needs updating before anything bad happens in someone’s home.

Don’t waste you precious time with this useless app.

Developers appear not to care at all about the user experience

Six Goldair Wi-Fi heaters throughout the house. Family members can control their heater via the smartphone app. Update now allows heaters to be controlled via Google Home (and Alexa). I had a few issues with this feature - found deleting, and reinstalling the Goldair app fixed the intermittent connection loss. Only feature I miss is a schedule on/off capability , either in the app or via Google Home. Google Home won’t allow you to create a schedule for heaters due to safety concerns. A great new feature is now when I’m the last to l leave the house I ask Google to switch off all heaters - none are left on heating an empty house all day.

Worked for a bit now nothing syncs. The app is very buggy. No responsive tech support (clearly as Goldair NZ have made no effort to update v1.1.1 for iPhone). So the developer is not watching this feedback here nor over in the Google Play either where the reviews are equally awful. Dear Apple App Store, please have a conversation with the developers to pull the app now or quickly upgrade it. Many functions don’t work like the simple task of adding a user! Says to phone the developer. Yeah right! They need to update the software, and improve the GUI to be more intuitive in where you find the functions. It’s a GUI /UX mess right now. Yet the app has got so much potential to be a slick value add feature in the market for this sector of heaters and coolers.

Doesn’t work at all

Will not connect to WiFi. Moved everything to basically ontop of each other, couldn’t get them any closer and still no connection. Additionally, why do I have to keep entering my WiFi password every single time I try to connect? After about 50 attempts to connect my fan I’ve given up.

The app and the devices recently underwent an date (app 2.0.0). Now while the devices report the current temperature, changing temperature in app doesn’t have any effect. Turning device on/off doesn’t work from app. Turning LED on/off from app doesn’t work. Clearing in app cache, delete/reinstall, relogin; nothing resolves the issues. The app and device use the tuya IoT control boards, cloud services and whitelabeled app. Unfortunately Goldair don’t seem to care and rarely update both app and firmware. They also provide zero app support, with unanswered emails, in app feedback going to black hole. After some testing, I’ve determined that they have reintroduced a widely know security issue with an old version of the WPA supplicant, it doesn’t support the full 63 characters for a WPA2 passphrase, only a maximum of 58. So my devices were joined, report status but are uncontrollable. Removing them, means I can’t add them as they don’t support the full wireless password, so I’ve put them on a separate network. Just plain IoT garbage ware.
