Gameplay is fantastic and is a great golf game. I feel like with a few more clarity’s on the swing it could go al long way. I like how simple the swing is, maybe provide a few more indicators on how to truly perfect it. The biggest problem is the actual progression. It’s extremely difficult for to progress and get rewards. The AI or computer player is very skilled and almost is demoralising. There should be more ways to get golf club rewards. The courses are fun and scenery perfectly simple. Just a shame i can’t reach it he next level. Maybe it is just a skill issue. But regardless for a beginner i shouldn’t be challenged so heavily.

This game is fun, don’t get me wrong. But it is impossible to level up clubs. You grind out some tickets and get to a tournament for chests and then the computer magically shoots -7 on 6 holes. I’m glad it’s challenging but it’s almost too hard. Doesn’t make you want to stick around and keep playing.

Golf Dreams w/bugs Best I can find for my iPhone 12, especially that’s portrait oriented. Now that I’ve bought the whole thing, I’ll rewrite my review. It has decent ball physics thought the ball can be difficult to see at times. I love the default swing action! Haven’t even tried the 2.0 action yet. I took to it right away! Then I read the manual to see if I was missing anything. I was keying on the wrong thing to hook and slice. It so much more reliable now. LOL I wish the graphics could have at least one other setting that uses darker colors, has a little more contrast and the white of the ball will stand out better in the process. It’s the only golf app with a decent HUD for an iPhone 12. The swing had a natural feel to me and I find it relaxing. Bingo! I like watching the PGA on TV now and play along at some of the courses. Easy club selection. Ball physics is pretty good. The soft colors need more contrast as everything tends to blend together (and not everybody has the eyes of a 25 year old). There is no sound. There is no vibration either. Settings they are on. Tried off/on for grins but no joy. The lie graphics are too faint to get a good read on. The sand trap physics are pretty poor. It was impossible to get the ball over the edge of the bunker sometimes no matter what iron or wedge used. The ball just would ‘pool table’ careen around the sand trap’s walls. It was kind of comical. Needed a hard hat, lol. It was irritating but it was my first trap in 27 holes, so not that big of a deal for me but that does need improving. It appears that anytime the ball is next to a wall, there is no way to see what you are doing until the ball is away from the wall. It’s bad enough to be bogeying the hole anyway, but to lose another stroke just to make things visible again. Ouch! Restarting a round should be controlled from the golfing screen and not to throw you all the way out. I wanted to restart the round, not the golf course. Overall, I do find it relaxing and that’s the point. Not all the ‘pomp and circumstance’ and CPU wasting eye candy music and carnival air about it I see in almost all the other golf apps and in landscape only orientation! Personally, I’d like to see the grass and sand darker to contrast more with the white of the ball. But, as I’ve said, I find it fun and that’s why we’re at this party.

Always adds a stroke and sets it on punch shot when I leave the game and resume it.

It looks like just the game you want and plays like it for the first or two matches. Then all the sudden it’s unpredictable and the AI is almost unbeatable. Even on the intro courses?? They have a really great core game here, but need to refine it.

You literally cannot win a tournament after the first one

Great game concept, however no matter how well you play you cannot win. Same corse shoot 3 under par and get 5 th place or shoot 1 under and get second. No matter what you shoot you will not get first.

Three rounds in everyone is shooting 6 under. Cant even compete.
