Google Assistant

The AI in this app is not good. Even for free this is not worth using at its current state.

I have had this app for a while and since some of the updates in the last year, there are certain things that don’t work such as the family Bell, accounts, calendar, continued conversations, food, preference, and I could go on and on please fix this. I can’t edit my family bells because of this issue I am having to unplug my devices and I don’t want to do that.

Google and Apple have never really played great together, but Google Assistant and Google Home now have so many functionality issues that they are essentially useless. Family Bell is completely disabled - it still shows in the menu but I get a blank screen when I try to edit ours. The same happens when I try to open the calendar, continued conversation, food preferences, notes, photos, podcasts, etc, etc. I'm ready to totally replace our entire smart home system.

the bose 700s and sony google assistant touch ones are both good but this 14 pro max... i've tried to killer myself like 4 times while using it. life used to have meaning #android

The decision to remove access to the Family Bell settings was short-sighted. It was a very useful feature and I have lost control over the function since I can no longer adjust or remove bells. It is unacceptable to require a factory reset to fix the problem when the application could still allow access to the bells feature instead.

every time i open bell time, the screen becomes black and nothing shows up. uninstall and install fix the problem but it happens soon after. not good

Our family bells were enabled for school mornings and were helpful. However, google stopped supporting it and I get a blank screen when I try to go in and shut them off. It is super annoying because we have early morning family bells going off now and the kids are trying to sleep in for summer break. Support was no help and wouldn’t escalate my case! I asked for remote assistance and they wouldn’t do that either. So now we’re stuck with a bunch of bells going off early in the morning that we can’t turn off and it wakes us all up and it’s not pleasant at all! Google, do better.
