Very difficult to set up / connect smart plugs and now I have, latest app update deleted all my connected plugs!!! Good when working but just too much effort

Not sure why I need to provide my email address and personal data to turn on my damn lightbulb???

I bought four plugs as on offer with Amazon and been very impressed with them! Easy to set up and the app is very good! You can add them to your Alexa or Google! I’ve not set the timers yet but will do for my next holiday plus set timer on my fish tank for the lights! I just love asking Alexa to turn on my lights! Plus you can use this app to turn them on! I did this the other evening when outside my house in my car it’s brilliant! Very happy with them! Fabulous 👍

The app never loads the first time you open it

App works well and device info in English. But all link to the Gosund shop and account are for the German sites. This may just be a setting but I can't find it. And I have set up the home location at the start and that is still right, I was hoping for an update to solve the problem. After 18 month no change. The work a round is just to log in to Gosund via a Google search. 👍🏻 So not the end of the world but just annoying.

I'm wondering if there is any other software that can be used to control these plugs because this app is about as bad as it can get. Poorly designed UI that appears to be targetted primarilly at trying to force you to purchase more products. This app is being used as an annoying, trolling advertising platform instead of a useul remote for controlling the plugs. Yes it can do that job and it works but you have to click through the ads before you can turn your plug on or off. I hate it.

Tried to set this app up with their oneplug set of devices, only to find they can’t connect/pair on my network. Waste of time, effort and money. No decent instructions and no reply to my (several) requests for help. Useless.

Fast set up, anyone who says otherwise are stupid. Was a bit hesitant buying as I haven’t came across this Chinese company prior and didn’t want my WI-FI being used as a spy device.

I’ve checked and my WiFi does run on required 2.4 GHz, but no matter how many times I’ve tried, the app won’t find or connect to the device (plugs, in this case). I’m a disabled user and having WiFi plugs helps a lot.

Easy to use and simple app. Would be perfect if it had watch support or widgets to easily on and off devices
