HMRC

It logs me in nicely, using my Face ID, but almost anything I tap on it just flips me to my browser, which wants me to log into the website. What’s the point of having an app if it has to take me to the website and log in again?

Unfortunately you cannot contact anyone by phone which is very frustrating- I’ve just had a tax bill charging interest which only arrived today - poor show, HMRC

I find it frustrating I can’t just speak to someone, but the app is amazing! Really easy to use. I just hope everything is correct?? As I have a question but haven’t been able to get an answer and when it’s my fault it’s very black and white even through I have spent hours trying to get help. I also think HMRC should employ some behavioral science to there language, you are so ration as you know what your talking about but for the normal person like me who may be amazing in their field of work, you are really hard to understand and it makes people panic. They are only trying to do things correctly but there is still so much fear as we don’t understand your language. But the app is great and goes a long way in helping the fear and frustration

Just great ! I use it all the time.

So having submitted my tax return, NO WHERE does it tell you to log out and back in again to complete the submission. Because of this my return ended up ‘late’ when I had completed it before Christmas, stung with a £100 fine. AND despite explaining how ill I have been and losing my partner they did not care, and refused to help in any way at all I’m shutting down the business, laying off my worker and thinking of claiming benefits instead DISGUSTING. So they sent an email with platitudes of apologies and a link to make a ‘complaint’ and an ‘officer would investigate’ but we all know that once they’ve issued a fine they wash their hands of it! The tax system in this country is broken; it penalises those of us scraping a living while the ‘big boys’ get away with murder 😡

The app can’t get anymore basic or rudimentary in its functionality or user experience

For 24 hours this app has been updating itself and never stopped nor allowed me log in. What is happening HMRC, I need to update my records. Frustrating
