Hooked: Remote Anchor Alarm

The premium version of Hooked is the best anchor alarm out there. I can set my dumb, WiFi-only iPad with the alarm and then track it from land easily on my iPhone. The alarm is the right kind of sound to call you to action. And I like that I can change the unit of measurements for my anchor radius and edit after I drop and set it. Big fan.

We recently did a 10 day charter in the Caribbean and bought this app after looking at all of the anchor alarm options. Overall, I was very pleased. The app never had a problem, and tracked any movement seach night whether anchored or moored. I was especially pleased with being able to share an anchor session. That way, I could leave my phone on the boat, share the session with my wife, and go ashore with her phone and without worrying about the boat. That function worked flawlessly. The only challenge I had was getting the anchor “dropped” in the right place to start a session. I would have to adjust the location manually after we got the boat settled. Could have been an inexperienced user and not a huge deal, but that was my only challenge. Overall, a great product, that the developer continues to update routinely.

Does exactly what you need it to do in the best way possible. Remote monitoring works great. Setting coordinates of the anchor manually is something missing from many other apps. Great work!

We have tried all anchoring apps and this is by far the most accurate and useful. Not once we have experienced a false alarm and the remote monitoring feature is a must have.

Seems to only paint the swing on the map sometimes.. I’m a new user so I might be doing something wrong.. but if it takes more than set it and forget it I may need to keep looking UPDATE , It’s a one button set it and for get it.. even if you don’t set alarm when dropping the hook and can go back and use the move anchor function.. I updated to the premium version and now I know what the boats Doing when I’m ashore .. great app and great support from your team Thank you Sv Chublins

Simple, intuitive and accurate. This is a must for all boaters who set overnight anchors. Highly recommend!

The app is simple and accurate. I had dragged twice in one hour on a new-to-me boat and ground tackle. Actually the 6th time with this boat. It was time for peace of mind so when I had finally set the anchor, I downloaded the app. Totally happy with the performance. Now it's time for a new anchor.

Non cellular iPad connect to DataHub and pulls in data from the NMEA 2000 system. Streams boat information to my phone when I’m not on the boat. So far, the best anchoring app I’ve found for the type of information I wanted when away from the boat.

Winds, current and tide twisted us around our chain. I was able to “ move “ the anchor so our swing was just inside the alarm radius. Got a peaceful night after the first learning session. Don’t leave it on if you dinghy into a bar. You WILL get an alert.
