iCollect Books: Library List

I’ve been happy with app for a number of years & for a variety of reasons. Firstly, it’s user friendly & I find it easy to keep track of all the books that I’ve read. I also like the apps rating system. I have tried other apps in the past but they were not as user friendly.

Its sad as I really liked this app I was entering my books nicely it has a photo of the books and everything but then I got to 30 books and I had to pay I mean $5 I would pay BUT $15!! Nah nah very overpriced! It’s a shame otherwise it would be a perfect app 😑😞

First book I add, all data seems correct, but the image is for a completely different book.

I love the ease of being able to scan the bar code of your book and it neatly organised it in alphabetical order. Your own personal library. It comes in handy when buying a new book and you want to make sure you already don’t have it in your collection. We all know what’s it’s like to accidentally buy a book twice 10/10 for me.

I like it, however when I want to know more about other apps or software they have it's strange. When I click on unlock desktop it just asks for credit card or PayPal. It doesn't say how much, I don't know if I click on it if it will automatically charge me. It's very easy to spend money with the similar apps for example pro version of comics. The comic app reads barcodes specifically catered to comics. And I wanted the pro version. I want to know what their desktop software is like before I commit e.g. looks like, how it functions, if it looks good on windows and if it links to the apps on my phone? Also I'm not sure if it's down right now but I tried searching their main website to see if u can find out that way. There's an icollect everything website that doesn't mention anything else. Are they related? I'm so confused. Following links from their app listing or Twitter goes nowhere. Their name keeps changing. I'm concerned if this should be a long term investment. Also needs option for subtitles.

Nice and simple to use

Have installed on iPad and paid to unlock. Now trying to use on iPhone but all premium features are locked and it says I have to pay again to unlock.

I’ve been using this app for years, initially because it was good for its time, now because I’m stuck as I had over 1200 books that I manually input that I don’t want to have to transfer over again manually. Today, I loaded my app to find that it had reset my books to an earlier backup from about 6 months ago, and I had LOST data for OVER 300 books. Yesterday, I had 1200 in there. Not happy.

No other app does what this one does. It’s a shame and frustrating that for years this app has continued to lose imagery that gets attached to various entries.

To use this app you must create an online account so you can share your collection between devices - fair enough. But the password for the account can only contain letters and numbers. It is 2020 folks and security is everything. I deleted the app without even trying it out.
