Nice Indie Game
Decided to do an IAP to support the game (specifically the second time the $15 to $5 24h starter pack showed up). Can appreciate the work that went into it and it differentiates itself from other "clickers" or idle games with various mechanics and resource management. There's nothing to spam tap.
However I'm not a fan of how embedded the watching of ads is into the game with regards to progression, getting any proper amount of premium currency/pilots, and even permanent progressive buffs, or... claiming daily calendar rewards (come on that should just be free). Makes it feel like a chunk of the gameplay involves running these ads. Though at least there aren't annoying banners or pop ups, keeps the experience clean, the player chooses to engage (for which there are a lot of opportunities...).
The lore of the pilots have some typos. When time fast forwards after returning ti the game, it is also weird how all the ships reset to move off at once and all your smelting/crafting timers restart to begin the same time. Maybe the game screen could be better adapted to the notch and curved areas of modern iPhones. Instead of just blackness.
The IAPs are insanely expensive. 30 USD for one of the buff ships and some premium currency... Should reduce the cost at least, then it would be more enticing, higher volume of sales.
Need More End Game Options
I love this game, and I highly recommend it, but now that I am at the end of the game, I wish there was more end-game options.
There are barely any items worth q-Q, so the only late game option is to craft sub space relays or advance robots. That gets annoying and repetitive after awhile. I am tired of crafting the same stuff and not being able to use anything else I get from debris drops.
There needs to be way more options for more expensive items.
Additionally, the premise of the late is planet MINING, but mining becomes essentially obsolete towards the end of the game. No amount of planet upgrades even touches my galaxy value.
With that said, the game is really fun in the beginning and middle. I just wish there wasn’t a way to “beat it,” and that it could go on longer. I’m getting bored of playing late-game, but I’m also getting bored of restarting my galaxy. I know the idea is to go faster and faster, but when there’s only 1 way to get to the end, that gets boring.
TLDR; more expensive items, more things on project tree, more ways to make money (i.e. mining expensive ores). There should be ores worth T, q, Q, etc.
Fun game
This game is very fun and has a really cool aspect to it because of the way that the game plays.
Decent
Decent idle but very slow. Heavily monetized as with most games this era. Which will be all there down falls. Money over fun
Offer Wall worst then others. Will never earn max due too most rewards are for maxing said game
Adds are optional!!
They actually made adds worth it in this. Watch an add, get an in game reward. Only game I know that does this. Plus it is perfect to just let running while at work. Helps pass the time on a slow day.
Good game
Simple and fun
Super Fun, Easy, Addictive
It’s easy to figure out, fun to play, gets addictive. If you’ve played miners before, you definitely won’t be disappointed in this one!
Mid tier Idle miner
Not bad.
Cool design, but wants you to keep the app on at all times and you need ads to progress quickly
I played this game for hours a day for about a week, and as a long time mobile gamer, it’s not bad, but it’s not worth my time for a couple MAJOR reasons that make zero sense to me.
I like the concept of this a lot, played it for a few hours a day for 7 days, but I went into the discord (helpful people, seems like good community) to see what was up. Apparently your resource generation is reduced to 22% unless the game is the active window.
Idle games like this are meant so that you CAN play actively to speed up progress, not to hinder you for every second you spend without the app on the surface. This is a silly decision, and even from the new players help channel in discord “a common complaint.”
On top of the passive ore accrual rate being so far down (also, those are the most expensive upgrades by far as you progress, so you can’t get around the thing you want the most being the resource stalling your progress if you don’t want this game on screen all day.)
there are also egregious ads—I’m actually 50/50 on this cause when actively playing the game the button shows up every -10 mins or so and is worth a lot of progress. Also, ads give you points toward another system of small bonuses, but there’s at least a little carrot on the end of that stick, so I’m alright with it. Additionally, if your phone is muted, the ads actually obey that, so it doesn’t interrupt podcasts or music unlike other games. For a couple taps, I actually like that part about it, but dislike how much those rewards are crucial to progressing early game.
Honestly, if this game were less about clicking ads and asteroids, and didn’t actually reduce your idle resource generation so much, I’d have bought in and still be playing. I’m not a whale, but a minnow with no problem spending on mobile games when they have good value, and the decision to make you lose resource generation when you have to keep your phone always active?
Weigh longevity of phone being on always vs benefit in this game, and you have a clear winner. Thanks for coming to my ted talk. I wrote it on the toilet.
