■ Transfer images from a camera to a smartphone
- You can transfer images/videos.
- The selection and transfer of images after shooting are no longer needed as the automatic background transfer function allows images to be transferred to a smartphone as they are captured. *1
- High bit rate video files including 4K can be transferred. *2
- You can view and transfer images in your camera from your smartphone even when the camera is turned off. *2
- After transferring, you can immediately share your high quality images on social networks or through email.

- You can capture photos/videos remotely while checking the live view of a camera on a smartphone. *3
This is convenient for capturing night views or water flowing scenes which need long-exposure, or macro shooting in which you need to avoid to directly touch the camera.

■ Record location information
- With cameras that have a location information linkage function, the location information acquired by the smartphone can be added to the captured image in your camera.

Works with A6000 and NEX6
I have ancient A6000 and NEX6 bodies. Imaging Edge is the most convenient way to transfer photos to my iOS devices. It’s a bit clunky, but works. If you have trouble reconnecting to your camera’s wifi after an iOS update, try making iOS wifi settings “forget” your camera, then reconnect with the password displayed by the camera.

No sure why people seemed surprised this app is terrible. Other than Fuji, find any other Japanese camera software that’s any better.
2 stars for belatedly trying. 1 star for the NIH which prevents the entire industry from improving. 0 stars for an app that is functionally lacking in far too many areas.
Kills Sony camera business
This archaic and buggy app should not be allowed to App Store. Sony seems to be completely oblivious to how bad their software has consistently been for the past 10 years. It is sad to see their great cameras go without use due to poor software and integration.
My advice: start over with a different team (including top leadership accountable for this).
Doesn’t Connect UPDATE
Constantly getting a connection failed. I’ve updated to the latest firmware on my Sony EV-10
UPDATE: I got it to connect but had to turn off Cellular Data in my phone first. That’s ridiculous requirement and worse that Sony doesn’t ten you to do it. You have to discover it on your own.

The app is hard to use and barely works.
Useless
All connectivity is impossible on this app and camera. WiFi connects but then doesn’t work Bluetooth just says connecting even after paired. Totally useless app and company
Unbelievable
I am shocked at the uselessness of this app. It is honestly a shame because I just switched everything from Canon to Sony. I am afraid I may have made a mistake.
Would be fine… but
The app seems simple and fine. 2 major issues: 1 the tyrant of default settings opts you into the marketing and personalized ad options without giving users the presented option like every other app in the App Store.
I will not give it full access to my photo library, and the application greatly dislikes this. To the point there is an unusable element of a pop-up guiding me how to change this setting and give it full access to my photos. For what!? What could Sony possibly need this for? I’ll sooner delete the app and use another method of control than give it full access. This feature should be changed immediately for the usability of the app’s sake.
Unusable
I have only ever been able to connect the app to my ZV-E10 one time. This is too bad, it would be a HUGE selling point to have an easy to use app to share our images. Might be a reason to turn away from Sony all together if a customer values that ease of use for their job or something. I wish I could give it a 0 star rating.
Network barely works
I’ve been using this app for years now to remotely control my camera via my iPad. When it works, it works great. But 80% of the time it can’t seem to connect to the cameras WiFi and takes a couple tries. Why does this continue to be a problem? It’s not my iPad either as I’ve had several over the years. The app is barely supported unfortunately
