Very disappointing. The app constantly crashes and it takes me 10+ attempts to transfer the pictures from my camera to my phone; even though I always do it at home where I am connected to fast internet. 4+ years ago, the app the Sony cameras connected with worked perfectly. Now with my 6400 camera and this newer app, it crashes and it is such a frustrating experience. Next time I buy a camera, I will be looking for other options unless Sony fixes all these issues.
Major flaw - won’t let me import photos or videos to my phone until I allow “full” access to my photos on my phone. Limited doesn’t work either. Could be a good app.
As everyone else has noted, Sony continues to disgrace itself with this terrible app. Tip for Sony: your software engineers are trash, try outsourcing for once!
I used it mainly to trigger my a600-a6400 with my iPad Air 2. This app won’t connect camera to iPad at all. Last time, I made 6-8 attempts. It works at my home but when I’m on location it won’t work. Totally gave up and I’m using my Canon with a CamRanger.

I just wish it worked with older cameras. Because I have a Sony A6000 but it doesn’t record with the app I can only take pictures 😒
La app es una bazofia , se conecta a cámara pero no puedo hacer nada en la aplicación , ni controlar el shutter nada !! Cuando lo arreglaran por que tiene años funcionando de esa manera!!!!
Amazing how far Sony cameras have come with insane autofocus and image quality. Yet here is the is app……you get this pricey camera and it’s paired with an app that functions as though a newbie in the coding game built it. The cameras don’t connect most of the time, but oh turn off your cellular on your phone and boom it works?!?!? So easy to fix but Sony does what? Nothing……..please fix it.
It worked once when I was initially setting it up my Sony aiv7r and iPad Pro. Today all it did was piss me off and refuse to connect. I shouldn’t have to use 6 different choices each time I try to connect. I actually upgraded to the Sony system with the intention of connecting the remote viewing and shooting in this app due to eyesight issues and needing things larger while focusing and checking composition. I’m so angry I wasted my money all the way around! I would have stuck with Nikon if I knew this was going to be such a difficult app! Sony do better for your consumers!
