iMove: Ride App in Greece

I am visiting Paros from the USA with T-Mobile and a high speed data plan. My phone connects to COSMOTE. I am getting 5G connections. I could surf the internet,iMessage, WiFi calling, but iMove would complain “no internet connection”. I had to poach someone’s WiFi to use the app. Cellular data was on. Maybe the developers could look into this. Otherwise it worked great and I was able to get around with ease. Sorry for the taxi drivers.

We downloaded this app based on reviews on this site while in Athens. We booked 2 taxis at 2 different times and both were no shows. Good thing we gave ourselves plenty of time to walk to a taxi stand. Don’t trust this app in Athens.

The app is great but #1 scam in Greece if you give / use your credit card. Very well known that iMove does fraudulent charges with card #s. Pay with cash ALWAYS.

The app is glitchy. It won’t let me past the profile. It says enter a referral code if you have one, I leave it blank, it gives me an error saying I need a phone verification code which I did on the previous page. I try that code from the previous page. It doesn’t work. No code is sent. It’s just stuck. Deleting app.

If you’re used to the convenience of Uber and Lyft this is the right app you need when you’re in Mykonos or Santorini !

Outstanding service - cars arrive quickly, fast pricing. We even splurged for a boat ride which was delightful. The boat couldn’t deliver us to Mikonos town, so they delivered us to nearby Ornos and transferred us to a car for the rest of the ride. A customer service rep reached out on Whatsapp and provided thorough information throughout. Highly recommend.

I was in Mykonos for 5 days in August and this application made my trip so much better. My main concern about Mykonos was the lack of taxis on the island. Because of this application, I never waited more than 10 minutes for a taxi. All the drivers were very nice and professional. One night we were running a little late and the driver, I think his name was Lambros, was so patient and nice. You pay in euros at the end of the ride so it’s perfect for those who don’t want to use credit card. Do not go to Mykonos without this application - you will be waiting for a taxi for a long time!

The App tells you the car will 13 minutes, then as the counter goes down to 2 minutes it resets back to 13 minutes. Ordered a car to take us out and whilst I received a call telling me it was 30 minutes late, then it stretched out to an hour. If they can be there in 13 minutes when you book and you expect it to arrive they should at least be upfront.

I left my iPhone in a cab after a day of partying - they returned it to me within an hour! Literally saved my life and my trip. If you are in Mykonos and didn't rent a car -. DOWNLOAD THIS APP. We left many late dinners/bar crawls to find our cab waiting for us and no crazy surcharges. Super easy and cost effective way to call a cab in Mykonos! All of the cars are new and in pristine condition. Drivers come immediately and are all nice/polite.
