The business model is a cheek! You buy one thing and get something completely different. The following year it's even worse! This is a pure rip-off! I just wonder why Apple doesn't kick the app out of the store! It has no business being there. This is pure robbery!!! Before the app changed hands, it was still okay, but since then it's just a rip-off!!!
Clear graphics, a reasonable chart store and the ability to add AIS make this an excellent navigation program. The fact that it is totally portable make this a must have on any boat whether as a primary means of navigation or a robust backup.
Nothing new since years except the marketing around the AIS... which is not efficient due to the fact that the AIS is not a beacon as such but a VHF signal transmitted to the other boats in the area, and sometimes received by land stations. The transmission is most of the time not ensured !
on their home page as well as in the online help they state iNavX is working with NV charts. That is not true. Customer service from iNavX did confirm. I’m using NV... so i did spent the money to buy the app for nothing... not acceptable.
J’ai acheté cette app car elle était compatible avec navionics, mais en fait il faut payer à nouveau pour les cartes même si on a l’app navionics. C’est pas clair dans le descriptif. Ensuite, le prix de l’app change constamment, on a l’impression de faire une bonne affaire mais en fait non. Le prix est passé de plus de 60.- à 5.- en quelques temps. Pas très sérieux. Sur l’app en elle-même je n’ai rien à dire, car déçu par la politique de la boite, je ne l’utilise pas...
Très bonne application de navigation avec affichage des informations des instruments du bateau. Pour la prochaine version incorporer les courants.
Erstens ist das App sehr teuer. Erst nachher erfährt man, dass man noch ein Abo bei x-traverse für 10 Euro/Jahr braucht und dass man die bereits gekauften Navionics Karten noch einmal kaufen muss, und dann jedes Jahr wieder... Also zuerst rund 100 Euro, dsnn jedes Jaht wieder 50. Raubritter!!!
Kann diese App niemandem empfehlen. Also: Lasst die Finger davon!!! Zuerst muss man das App teuer zahlen und dann noch die ebenso teuren Seekarten, um das App überhaupt brauchen zu können. Fair wäre anders! Bin masslos enttäuscht über diese Kostenfalle!
Très belle réalisation, un véritable traceur dans la poche avec toutes les fonctionnalitées des grands. Prévoir un petit budjet suplémentaire pour la carte "France,Pays bas,Espagne" pour 16$ (pas cher pour la surface couverte!). Fonctionne très bien sur Iphone 4S
I just spent 2 weeks sailing a 44' cat in indian ocean with iPad running iNavX. Fantastic apps, amazingly easy to use, very comprehensive in planning route, waypoints... very good maps easy to buy, reasonably priced at X-Traverse, weather forecast, anchor alarm... I have a lot of experience with PC based navigation software, iNavX brings the power of all these applications right at your fingertips on the beautiful iPad. I ran these 2 weeks of navigation with the embedded GPS of the iPad (Wifi+3G iPad) and accuracy was around 16'. The features I didn't use are the connexion with the Raymarine instruments on board (wind, depth....) but that is feasible with iMux and I plan to install that and get all my sailing data on to the iPad through NMEA. Fantastic app for all sailors
