Informant 5 Calendar

Did not transfer my calendar details over to new phone fully even though there was iCloud backup ):

It will be good to select just weekday. Other than that all function r good

I have started using Pocket Informant since the PDA days. Have it on my Palm V and Palm Tungsten. When I gotten my iPhone 3GS, the first thing I searched in the AppStore was Pocket Informant. I paid for the app though it was not as cheap as the other “regular” apps because I knew it was good enough and worth paying for. I influenced my friends and family to get the same app on their iPhones too. Now after so many years, and as time passes by, the app became much distanced and its like I don’t recognize it anymore. I don’t have the same joy I used to have when I was using it in the past, and I missed those days. From a paid-once-and-keep program, it became a subscription based. Now of all the tabs I see at the bottom of the app, there is only one that is unlocked which I can use. It’s an eyesore having to see so many locked icons occupying almost the entire stretch at the bottom. It is really time to move on to other calendar app. There are numerous apps which doesn’t require regular subscription. Goodbye.

Very disappointed that tasks and events are now limited to 200 characters. I purchased this app because unlike other apps, there’s no limit in characters I can type but now it can’t. Regretted making this purchase!

AFTER PAYING FOR SO LONG AND SEVERAL UPDATES THE NOTIFICATION CENTRE STILL CRASHES AND IS NOT WORKING! EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED AND UNACCEPTABLE. When I first bought the iPhone X, I give them time, I knew not all apps work flawlessly. But it’s been too Long, too many updates and NOTHING IS DONE. Seriously gonna unsubscribe soon. Do not expect to pay a lot of money for fully functional app.

Ready so desperate to continue collecting money from existing user to force us to upgrade after click on setting and no way to use the software without upgrade. Time to delete this software.

Read through all the reviews and as a informant user, I can relate to the disappointment of those who bought the original informant calendar for quite a price (compared to other calendar apps back then) as we saw the potential. Yes I can see the need for an upgrade of the system and the sustainability of the team and its operations. But what we hope for is perhaps some level of abridged version of an upgrade for us. As for me, paying the monthly/yearly subscription is not an issue if I think the programme’s worth the money but I am afraid I am not going to do so because there are loads of better ones out there that are free. Just take a look at the thousands of users and review compared to informant - tells a lot.

After they rectify my problems, the app works great. I cannot find any great replacement than tis app.

I had bought Pocket Informant when since it first release, was very impressed with all the functions and how much effort the developer put in make this great app (best in that time, IMO). There was constant updates along the years and I would not mind to pay that small update fees if there are major updates. However, this latest move to lock my previous purchased version (iPad version) and forcing me to download Informant5 and hence forcing subscription, is despicable. Never.

I bought informant previously, too. Now got to buy again? and pay every month? NEVER! Is always about money and only money, for whatever reasons. Even if subscription model is necessary for it to survive, it's still super pricey for long term use, and no discount or sort for existing owner. Existing owners are no different from new users, why be loyal? There's no guarantee that next major update will need to buy again. Even 1 star is too generous in this review.
