HRV guided athletic training

Veröffentlicht von: HRV Fit

Beschreibung

An excellent tool for gauging workout intensity... Probably the closest thing we have to a broad indication of overall health - The Telegraph
Know when to train, how hard to train & when to rest in order to optimise health, fitness and athletic performance.
A 60 second measurement each morning will tell you how stressed, recovered and ready for training your body is. Using heart rate variability (HRV), resting heart rate and recovery enablers, such as stress, diet, sleep, and more, ithlete delivers a truly personalised training recommendation that anyone from a recreational runner to an Olympic athlete can use.
The many benefits of having this information (quite literally) at your fingertips include:
• Make the most of every training session
• Manage recovery
• Optimise fitness
• Enjoy guilt free rest days
• Avoid overtraining & injury
• Balance workouts and lifestyle demands
• Improve health, fitness and performance
Getting the right balance between training and recovery is a challenge, even for experienced athletes. Remove the need for guess work by using ithlete and base your training on an objective measure of fatigue and recovery. You will reap the benefits in fitness and performance.
HOW IT WORKS
Heart rate variability is a proven window into the body’s nervous system, going beyond a simple resting heart rate (RHR) measure. Training is all about stress and recovery and a hard session will lower your HRV score. By using ithlete to monitor training stress you can adjust sessions according to your body’s current readiness to train, improve and perform.
Simply take a 1-minute measurement every morning and follow the colour coded training recommendation: train as normal, train light or take a rest day. For more about heart rate variability see www.myithlete.com/what-is-hrv

PLEASE NOTE:
The ithlete HRV app requires additional hardware.
Users will need either an ithlete Finger Sensor OR a compatible analog or Bluetooth Smart HRM strap. These are all available from www.myithlete.com/products. Please see the website FAQs for a full list of compatible models and purchasing options.
Please also note that this HRV app is NOT a heart rate monitor app, which people use during exercise. The ithlete app is an app that uses heart rate variability to indicate your state of fatigue, recovery and readiness to train following a 1 minute morning measure, and it is not used during the actual exercise.

HRV, Heart & Health

The Ithlete finger sensor have costed me less than 50£ and have helped me so much. In the most of 2015, I was troubled with longere periods up to 2 weeks of on/of arrhythmias and those periods would come 7-10 times a year. I was offered a Radiofrequency Ablation, but I was actually more interested in finding a balance in life effecting the heart. The HRV sensor have tought me a lot, and I back off when it tells me to, even though I maybe have had other plans for that day ... I have now more insight in the course of stress, training, koffein, alcohol etc... and there are now much longere time between periods, only having one episode this year in 2016.

Det tager mellem 30 og 50 forsøg at få sensoren til at registrere noget. Og selv når den finder en puls, kan den finde på at stoppe inden den har foretaget en fuld måling.

I have a history of overtraining. Ithlete pro has given me an objective measure that acts like a coach to guide me for the day should I go hard or not.

Like the app! A couple suggestions. On the testing directions, it didn’t specify taking test sitting or standing so I initially was supine in bed. Went to the website and found info. Secondly, I get several greens (ok to train hard) the day after a hard run. HR > 90% Max for 6 to 7 miles, not sure why? Still in the learning curve?

Been using since 2014

The latest update locked me out. I paid $9.99 to purchase this in 2014. I can no longer access any of my historical data nor can I generate any new data Customer service has been unhelpful Those seeking an app for HRV should check out Something else

Bought app years ago, worked ok. Now they want you to pay additional money to continue to use. Don’t buy it. Very shady.

I don’t understand why they broke the app. I paid $9 for it years ago and now they won’t let me use it unless I pay for it again. Scummy

Can’t use sensor w/o purchasing app

When I buy an expensive measurement product, I expect to be able to use it without any additional charges. Very disappointing that to achieve functionality, more money must be spent. Had I known this, I would not have purchased from this company.

Do not waste your time / inaccurate

I previously purchased the HRV finger measuring device and had access to the app, which was free to download and use with the product I PURCHASED. Now I have to pay in order to use it? That’s some gangster **** to do, old school bait and switch method. I would have never bought this in accurate device in the first place if I had known I would get jacked for more money later. The app is garbage anyway, you get differing readings even when some back-to-back. Find a better app and company bc ithlete is a fraud.

App Went Subscription

I bought on ithlete HRV meter when this app was free to use. But the company just did a bait and switch and went subscription only. What a con game!
