Paying for a calendar/reminder app is literally insane would give 0 stars if possible
I’ve always been someone that utilized calendars, but this one has to be one of the best specifically because it can link my type-A self to my partner that struggles to remember plans! We can put in what we’re going to have for dinner, what nights we have dates, family events, tennis matches, and more!! I also love the feature that everyone in the family can add events and that more than one person can be assigned to the event. We originally got the app because we wanted to plan meals between his turn to cook, my turn to cook, and his mom’s meal nights, and it’s so helpful for that but much more. I even left Apple calendar to put all my events in jam and have them all in one place (:
We had been living and dying on my iCal shared by the family, which seemed great for just events on the calendar, I like how Jam's layout is more of an "all-in-one" / "one stop shop" for both shared family calendar for a busy family life, plus "To-Do" lists that can be assigned to different members of family and grocery lists. We used to use a shared Task List from Apple or a Shared Note from Apple app for some of these integrations, but I do like having it all in one tidy app that is easy to modify/update/edit seamlessly. I really really REALLY want a Jam Family Calendar Widget for the iphone and Apple Watch because that has been the hardest habit to break now that we are using the Jam calendar, it does not have an iPhone calendar widget that was really handy for me and my husband in using the iCal. it would keep me up-to-date on what was next on the calendar for the day with a quick glance of watch or iphone without having to go into an app. I wish they will keep that in mind for future updates. One other thing I do miss, for Location of a calendar event, I wish it would start auto-populating the address from Google or Apple maps like iCal does as I type in an address so I didn't have to toggle back and forth from an app to an email, or paper that I was looking at to add a meeting/appointment/calendar event. Please consider integrating this better in future updates. Another "WOULD BE AMAZING" integration would be Instacart app integrations. We have our grocery list populated on there, and I while I do like this app's grocery list, it would be insanely amazing to have that just automatically upload/update from instacart. All in all, a great family calendar / organization tool. We are still new to using it, but I really think our family will grow accustomed to it and enjoy the app's functionality. Well done.
I really thought this was the solution to our problems but the app is a bit clunky and buggy. I can’t believe there aren’t recurring task options. 🫠 Back to Timepage for now.
Another auto renew only subscription trap. Solid apps don’t use this strategy.
Over the past four years of being a mom, the be tried every family calendar out there. In our family we need one place to manage schedules for two parents with four jobs in four different industries that all have complex and varying schedules, an Au pair, and three kids. Yes, we live in a state of abject chaos, but with Jam we at least have some idea of where we need to be and when. The level of detail is great.
I’ve been using JAM this summer and it has definitely helped with the nitty gritty of camp, vacations and back to school events/calendaring what a lifesaver!
My husband and I have a neurodivergent child who has a multitude of appointments, classes and therapies every week as well as hours of administrative work between insurance and IEP’s. At the same time, my mom lives with us as well who has her own medical needs and appointments. Jam has been a miracle for our family getting my husband and I on the same page and keeping on top of everything we need to do for my son, my mom and our household. On a personal level, having everything in Jam has given me a level of calm because I know it doesn’t all have to live in my brain. Finally — I had a million questions about syncing my calendar (and a total mess old calendar situation) and the customer support was amazing! They got me completely on track and were so helpful!!!
What a fantastic way to keep track of all my to do lists ! I am a busy salesperson going in 10 directions! Jam keeps me on track and I never miss an appointment! Thanks Jam
My whole family has used Jam for a few months now and it’s definitely helped us all get more organized. Besides the calendar which is great, the lists are AWESOME. We love to use them for general to dos, packing lists, holiday shopping and groceries. When the school year starts up again it’s also awesome for keeping track of deadlines, sports schedules and big assignments.
