Jellyfin Mobile

I have the server installed on my Synology. And this works fine. The app has a lot of options. Also working with different users I great. The kids can listen to audio books without the risk of deleting them. One issue though. Streaming to my HomePod doesn’t work. The audio is distorted.

Video works fine, looks good, plays well depending on connection speed, but not having support for background music or it even showing up in the "Now playing" widget is a deal breaker for me. Would love to see that improve in the future.

Great to see there is an app for Jellyfin on apple but it sucks that the back navigation is not using the default apple gestures to navigate. Also the bottom 2 tabs (home, settings) are not great. It looks out of place The application works just fine though.

Looks promising but I can’t get it to connect to my Jellyfin server over local network. IP and port are correct but ‘cannot connect to server'. (I’ve fixed it - it was the windows stupid firewall)

Waiting for chromecast support to be implemented

I cannot believe how well Jellyfin works. And it is completely open source (where allowed)? There aren’t any paid plans even. 100% self hosted is perfection. Let’s donate (OpenCollective)! I was happily surprised by the Airplay support that makes my ancient AppleTV rise from the dead. Keep it up, you are doing awesome work!
