This review is about JetbLUe as a company. You guys don't allow upgrades from the basic option and you're charging for carry on bags until September when you could've just made that free. I'll never fly JetbLUe again. You're trash.
App Needs More Work
Whenever I’m searching for new flights, the app takes a really long time to populate flight times and prices. It’s even worst when you’re trying to make small edits to a flight search.
In addition to making the app faster, I wish the app makes it easier to view and compare economy vs Mint flight prices and improve switching between currency and points. Anytime I want to compared prices, seats, and points, the app restarts the search. This is so frustrating especially when comparing to other airline apps.
Please improve the app experience. It’s such a shame how poor the user interface when compared to the awesome service your crew and staff provide.
Worthless app from a worthless company
Unlike other airline apps, this thing is so bad it doesn’t keep track of my reservation associated with my account. I hit my trips and it can’t give it until I enter the reservation number. If I had that with me I probably wouldn’t need to check it on the app, now would I?
On the computer website it is no better. I tried to change a reservation and it kept giving me an error message and said contact us. So I hit chat and all I get is a generic AI bot (and telling me how much easier I could take care of my needs online!). Talk to a live person? If you request that you are told Jetblue has the audacity to charge $25 for that. For a problem with their website?
Crappy app
Horrible app. Won’t let me revise my seats for a trip coming up in two days. Continues to give me a “sorry can’t confirm your seat contact us by calling.” Then proceeds to make me wait on hold for 3 hours for something I should be able to easily do online. Terrible app , I don’t recommend it.
Painful app experience
Mobile app and desktop site need a BROWSE function that shows where you can go from each city. Most flights I search results in, “no flights found.” In calendar view, same. No flights for 6-12 months, really? Not one? That’s like searching on Amazon and getting, “no products found, warehouse completely empty.” It’d be easier if you, Jetblue, told us where you fly from each city, instead of users putting in random cities in the Dep/Arrival fields.
Can’t login after updating to iOS 17.6
When I get my verification email, I can’t enter it. The page is basically dead. iPhone 11 Pro Max iOS 17.6
Please help. I want to enter my credit card info!
Thank you
No mobile boarding pass available on this app.
Giving one star because the only thing i needed the app for was to get my mobile boarding pass and it didn’t work. It’s the only reason for this app. Hopefully they get it fixed. Thank you.
DO NOT USE!!!!!!
App sent me to the wrong terminal and never updated, I had to sprint across the airport to make my flight. DO BETTER JETBLUE!!! I WILL NEVER BOOK WITH YOU AGAIN!
Love jet blue, unimpressed with app
App today only gave us initial leg of our flight for boarding passes. I was concerned about this so contacted JetBlue through chat. This feature works well. They assured me the boarding passes would change to reflect 2nd leg once first one was complete. This did not happen. Still without boarding passes. And unable to access them at all through the app now. Gate agents unable to navigate app either and stated will print passes for me. Love being as environmentally responsible as possible. So this is not an awesome solution, but they were kind (props to JetBlue not the app). First flight was delayed. App was completely inaccurate with updates about this. Initially showed 18 minutes delayed, then 3, and never changed even though the flight wound up being a full 30 minutes delayed. Very disappointing.
Seems to ignore initial privacy requests and not robust against corner cases
Reinstalled app and first thing it asks is if I want various tracking options enabled, and if one says “no tracking” the pop up window request goes away, but it seems like one needs to still allow tracking on another screen just to move forward. Coercive?
Also had horrible time deleting payment info that was corrupted and would no longer load into the app. It prevented me from being able to book trips online, both with browser and app! Good luck figuring out how to modify payment info without calling for help; why isn’t that part of a list of settings under “more”? Or part of a drop down on your profile. Instead the app developers mix it in with other upselling content, turning the settings interface into a bowl of soup!
After waiting a couple hours for a possible fix on my payments corruption, and being coached on where to find payment info, I was able to load and access payment info, and delete and add payment credit cards the way it is intended to work. Great, but someone must have fixed something because I did nothing different two hours later when it started working, and the problem had nothing to do with credit card company blocking credit cards, which was the offered explanation why it wasn’t working for me.
The next day I was in the process of booking another flight but I used a credit card with confirmation phone numbers I couldn’t access because I was on travel. Instead of being able to go back and pick another card, it just spun when I canceled. I couldn’t just rebook the trip because the seat I wanted was locked up by the previous booking that I couldn’t re-access. Once again I needed to contact an agent to complete a booking.
This app is only designed to work with a canonical workflow - no special conditions. It should be better engineered to not fall apart when stressed with extenuating circumstances.
Although the app is not robust, at least JetBlue customer support gets the job done with reasonable wait times, so that part is good!
