AMAZING APP!!!

This app gave me some control over my phone usage. I started to feel like my phone usage was too much and was having trouble stopping. Turning off my phone or putting my phone in another room never worked. This app finally gave me some control. And establish the boundaries to stop mindlessly scrolling and just experience boring things. Which honestly, is great. I feel less like “I’m missing something online”. It feels like I can just sit back and relax.

Was rec'd this app by a friend and honestly it dropped my social media doomscrolling to almost 0 in 2 days. Being able to block major scroll tendencies like Instagram, Facebook, etc was helpful and then having to "unlock" them for certain periods of time helps you be more present in your use. I also like that the wait time to unlock increases with each break. I find myself automatically going to the app but the 10 second+ wait time to open stops my instant gratification. Love the app, might work on streaming usage at some point too!

I was able to use Jomo perfectly fine without any problems on my iPhone 13 Pro max that didn’t require me to have a password on my phone but now that I have the iPhone 16 pro max i can’t use Jomo without having a password on my phone which is pretty weird because it then unblocks all my apps when i remove my password from my phone. Please help me with this problem!!!

This app was buried among the other promoted and more popular (hopefully only for now) screen time apps. But this is absolutely the least buggy and feature-rich of the many I’ve tried. The prompts at the block screens are also really insightful. It’s not laden with fluffy quotes (a select few maybe), but rather legit research excerpts and thoughtful perspectives from vetted authors on the attention economy and more. Another way I’d put it, is that in a very short time (two days) the app went from feeling like a gatekeeping tool (like others do) to more of a personal companion to help me be more mindful. The UI and overall feel of the app is actually appealing. Not bloated but not a lifeless settings interface. Strongly considering the lifetime purchase… a worthy investment in myself considering how phones and apps are only going to get more addicting. Bravo Jomo team! <3

I’m so grateful to the makers of this app - both the great UX and great functionality mean I use it and I abide by it. The copy is the exact right mix of encouraging and firm. So glad I found it.

Self Control & Focus

This app is packed with features, and the developers have obviously put a lot of thoughts into it. I’m actually able to tweak it and make it tailored to my needs. Probably the best block app in dec 2024

Lol doesn't block at all and tells me a bunch of adult sites to explore :D even worse..
