Expensive
The original Bowflex machine (for me version 7) was supplied with 3 different video (free) exercises for training in a nice environment… However, during the last months the developperd have “updated” the app and deleted all these free video exercises…
In fact they are forcing you to accept a monthly contribution (ca 20$) for a continuation of a video exercise…
I think that this policy is not acceptable…
Therefore I can’t recommend this app and the corresponding machine. There are other possibilities that are less costly

Great new training possibility’s. For a better experience it would be great to have an app for apple tv or the option for airpay.
Very effective personal coaching
The adaptive workouts prescribe tailored workouts. Suggested intensity is based on selected workout time and is extremely effective, I feel I trained but I am not too tired to skip a session the next day. I use it since 6 months with only 30 min/day in combination with a Bowflex Max Trainer and I noticed amazing results in both overall performance and body shape. So far best coach I ever had.

Nice machine but still many bugs in the interval software
It is always the longest and highest resistance level - not true
Heart rate is sometimes stuck when using a strap so connection issues
When coach says something close to the time when the bowlflex will switch gears the sound stops completely
It seems those are all fixable so i hope they get corrected
Broken
I have had this app for several months. Starting about a week ago, I can no longer switch between the two user profiles I set up for my account. I reached out to the developer for help, but the response I got was an unhelpful referral to the FAQs page.
STILL issues with intervals
The “intervals” workouts for the ellipticals are not working any more, [amended:] depending on where you launch them from. It used to be only the 14 minute one, now the 7 not the 21 work any more!!!! The dial doesn’t show the target and the graph doesn’t move any more note thanks your level of effort. Without that the app is completely USELESS!!! We first reported the issue with the 14 minutes one at least a year ago, likely more. What is going on?!
After wasting most of my available time for my workout in trying to get it to work (reset this, reset that, delete app, install, etc…) , I discovered that if I launch intervals 7 from one of the other groups it worked. As opposed to launching it from the top group where all free intervals are. Not sure how or why this would make sense… but that is how I got it to work.
Still upsetting, but since there is a work around I wanted to share for others as well.
Terrible tech
The technology platform associated with the Bowflex is horrible. Our Bowflex has failed and can’t connect anymore. Machine is not usable because of this . Our Wi-Fi strength is excellent -machine just doesn’t work anymore and won’t connect anymore. I wouldn’t buy another Bowflex until they change their technology.

The app is easy to use and the trainers are kind, encouraging and fun
