And using Orion browser is much better to use with Kagi
Works reliably so far after I reinstalled it
Used to work great and now it doesn’t redirect searches. It works fine on the desktop version of Safari but not on mobile.
This worked initially but has since stopped working. Toggling all the various options in the Safari Extensions page off and on again does nothing. Also why isn’t this available on iPad?
The search engine itself, Kagi, is phenomenal. This Safari extension on the other hand, is a total mess. It takes so much trial and error to match the search engine in Safari with the search engine in the extension. For example, if I set Bing in Safari, setting Bing in the extension doesn't cause it to use Kagi instead. I had to eventually settle on Ecosia. Like, I, as a user had to do the QA work for this. It's insane. There's no way I'll go anywhere near Kagi's browser with an experience like this. Or put another way, while the search engine itself is great, all goodwill regarding any type of other software development is gone, which is a shame.
Enabled. Gave it full permission. Still doesn't redirect.
This used to work really well before the new universal version. Now, it frequently stops working and reverts to the search engine I “never” use. I can seem to get it working again by toggling Kagi on and off in Safari extension preferences. Kagi is an awesome search engine and I’m grateful for it but please fix this - or at least please thoroughly test your code before you release.
Best search engine
My setup is correct I’m able to get it to capture my search a few times. Then it stops working and all of my searches go to DuckDuckGo. I wonder if it’s triggered by the use of a VPN?
I do hope apple allows a Kagi app soon. Kagi is excellent, especially the search assistant function. Worth every penny
