Karl's Mortgage Calculator

This is a great mortgage calculator, I spent ages inputting all my historic data into it (every overpayment, every interest rate change etc) to get an accurate picture, as it provides better insights and forecasts than any other calculator that I’ve come across. However, it doesn’t use iCloud storage nor provide any form of export/import of data outside of the app - whilst you can generate a CSV report, you can’t do anything with this. This means if you change your phone - like I did - you have to start over or - like I have - give up as you can’t be bothered to go through all the painstaking setup you thought you’d only ever need to do once. So what would have been 5 stars is 3 as a result.

Good app, well designed, nice clean interface and clear calculations. Lots of functions for adding in over payments etc. Helped me work out how to knock over a year off my mortgage term and save near on £400 in interest. Thankyou.

Does complex interest calculations effortlessly. Want to know the monthly repayments of your borrowing if the rate increases by 1% after 4 months then 4.36% in month 17? What if you make an overpayment at month 6 then smaller regular payments from month 9? No problem. This will do it all and more. A great find. Thank you Karl!

I used to love this app but now it doesn’t seem to calculate the extra payment no matter how I input it

This calculator is invaluable for comparing different scenarios and payment schedules for any variety of mortgage products. The extra payments feature and ability to add in taxes is super useful as well. I can’t speak highly enough about how easy to use it is as well. Strongly recommend for any financial planning for a loan or mortgage product

I've been using this app for years. To me, it's a perfect as I could hope for. Simple interface but still plenty of options. You won't find a better mortgage calculator.

App was working fine at first but now I can’t even calculate a normal payment. It keeps defaulting to 100 years and it says to change to payment radio button. It’s getting annoying so I stopped using. Please fix
