This is a great attempt at a highly unusable app. Just full of typically trendy looking white people, very confusing features that have zero purpose other than manipulating you to invite friends to use it. At first I thought oh this is nostalgic of the early days of Instagram but after 1 week using this I’m actually done with wasting my time on a bunch of images that I will never see again

I love the app but I despise the fact that it’s connected to your phone number only. Not only is it inconvenient if you lose that your number for whatever reason, but it’s not even secure because all it needs to do is send a text message to get access. Please fix this

Really liked this at first but with the new update, it feels just like instagram all over again. I miss actually seeing my friends’ posts in the feed format, rather than seeing randomised community posts. It feels a bit clunky and as if it’s lost the very essence of why people are attracted to Lapse in the first place.

Myself and my friends were really enjoying using this app, but please bring back the friends feed! I personally don’t care for or interact with the spotlight posts and would rather see my feed full of what my friends are up to.

Just as I thought the update can’t get even worse… After the whole putting the community tab in the friends tab. Which took out all the joy of scrolling through the app btw. Then now you can’t even add tagged snaps into your own month’s album??? Lapse was all about sharing memories to close friends and creating a little wholesome community but now they’re trying to be just like Instagram and any other social pages. I’m actually so disappointed and have seen more and more of my friends and I not going on the app because of these updates.

I had downloaded this app a few months ago because all my family and friends had it and it seemed like a really nice app but my old phone broke so I got a new one and decided to reinstall this app but it’s not giving me an option to login in to my old account forcing me to make a new account and its really frustrating it’s absolutely UNBELIEVABLE

Have loved this app but the latest update gets rid of what was its greatest strength, a feed to just see your friends experiences. Now we’re forced into an instagram “stories” situation which is not what this app should be about. The community photos are beautiful, but not the heart of the app.

First of all, I got the app out of genuine curiosity to then find out that i had to WAIT. So Once i had waited an hour or so it let me in. (completely over the top by the way) You’d think the story would end there and i’d actually enjoy this app. No. I didn’t, because i then find out i NEED to add 6 friends to actually join the app, seriously. what the hell?! Thinking it would be all about photos and being in the moment as the trailer presented, no you just want me to get my friends to join. Ridiculous. Within that idea of trying to add people, this app found my contacts and you can imagine the fear on my face when i saw the people i did not want to hear about show up as recommended and the audacity that this app would actually want me to let them know anything about my life. Pathetic. ‘its all about photos’ ‘in a world of likes yadayadayada’ if it was all about the photos, then you wouldn’t have the need to make me add people FIRST. The fact that this app is just a glamourised version of BeReal. ‘DigitalCamera😜’ Trying to be all quirky. Disgusting. I can’t comprehend the absolute disappointment when i realised the app was so bad after waiting for it. Overall, delete it and goodbye. (Your lucky this got even one star.)

Kept crashing randomly for a while but it’s gotten to a point where if I open it it just closes straight away. Restarting my phone didn’t help and reinstalling didn’t work either.

“Remember back in the day when we took photos in the moment?” Remember back in the day when apps weren’t invasive enough to force you to invite friends and install widgets etc. before you can even use them?
