Check nearby availability - disaster
“Find in stores” - gives terrible experience. Not only it gives incorrect distance (even if you sharing the location). It does not allow to “select” the store, or to navigate to the store. not even to SELECT/COPY the text address… do they even test the mobile app? Who is LCBO web/mobile app developers?
No testing , lots of other defects across the app.
Stopped using the app, switched to the website
Worst App
I understand the LCBO has a monopoly but is there really a need to
Search does not work
Most basic functionality does not work, search for words “Johnnie Walker”, “Glenmorangie” and many others results in the “Oops” error
Terribke
The app is very slow and light black fonts like gray doesn’t read well on the app. Several comments were made in the past but no one cares at LCBO
Also cannot enlarge the written stuff to read.
Waste of time
What happened???
It won’t even open for me now. I don’t know what they’ve done to it. I have to keep deleting it and installing it again just to get in to see what’s on sale.Fix the damn thing would you please??!!
Goodbye LCBO
So my older iPad cannot download the ‘improved’ version of the app and the resident version will not let me open the app unless I download the new one! What dimwitted thirty-something thought this would be a good idea? I am old enough that I wrote programs in BASIC for my kids and they now have kids in their twenties whom I sometimes have helped with their computer problems. This kind of planned obsolescence in apps is inexcusable. Goodbye LCBO, hello Alberta independents.
Still the worst app
No surprise that a corporation like the LCBO has the worst, most outdated, clumsy app on my phone. They are without shame.
Useless
The UX of this app is utterly useless. One simple example is that I have a “vintages” LCBO account but when logging in to this mobile app, I do not have a way to access the LCBO ‘Vintages’ products and account information, order history, etc. So, I need to login to the website app instead, why not SSO that allow access to both accounts from within the same mobile app? A complete app redesign is in order, come on LCBO, you can do better! Looks like the 1.4 average star multi reviews are spot on.
Used to be OK
This app has gone downhill. Nothing works. Hamster wheels.
Scanner is useless
So they updated the app to scan QR codes in bottles, which manufacturers put next to the barcode. It only ever picks up the QR code, which opens up their website. So now we have to search manually by name to find the price, which is all I ever want to know. Bafflingly stupid, every update it gets worse. Fire the design company, they have no idea what we want out of this app.
