Data management is inferior
No way to manage app data so it fills up the device immediately. Horrific ux interface and workflow. Scanner and data are great, interface is laughable.

Leica Geosystems introduces the Leica Cyclone FIELD 360 app.
As part of the Leica Geosystems Reality Capture Solution, the Leica Cyclone FIELD 360 app links the 3D data acquisition in the field with the RTC360 laser scanner, the BLK360 imaging laser scanner or BLK2GO or BLK2GO PULSE and the data registration with Leica Cyclone REGISTER 360 post-processing office software.
On-site the user can automatically capture, register and examine scan and image data. The user interface combines easy handling of complex calculations with a graphical user guidance which offers a remarkable user experience also for novice users.

The high-performance Leica Cyclone FIELD 360 mobile-device app is the perfect field companion for the Leica RTC360 3D laser scanner, as well as for the Leica BLK360 imaging laser scanner or BLK2GO or BLK2GO PULSE. Intuitive and instant data visualization with its user interface, remote scanner control and on-site point cloud display, navigation is a breeze - even for novice users – with full imagery and point cloud data delivered directly to a tablet using edge-computing technology.

15k camera, $2 dollar app
How can you make such an expensive camera and cheap out on the app, like who did you find to create this? Seriously, I delete all my files and projects and still shows 20gb on my iPad, it’s 2024, a high school kid could build a better app
App data fills up iPad
The app works well with the BLK G2, but the data fills up my iPad and there is no way to delete the data without deleting the app and reinstalling. I gather a lot of info for work but spend 20% of my time trying to clean the iPad storage out. I can only get three jobs on my iPad mini before I need to clean it. I’ve tried deleting the jobs on the app, deleting data on the BLK, deleting data one swipe by one swipe in the Cyclone app in the iPad storage in the General settings. Could the developers take a look at this and see if we can get some work around that makes this a better tool?

Excellent update, review worthy!
New version 4.0.4 seems to connect OK with old BLK 360 G1.
Out today scan three scans on Hi-Rez seem to connect OK to the BLK and also download the data so it looks like they fixed some bug was it wasn’t connecting and dropping. I was triggering everything from the app though the last time I used it, I could not download the data from the BLK G1 onto the app if I triggered it by the push button. I’ll try that again on this version and see if it’s still doing the same thing it did before
Bad update
This new update will kill your battery in a few hours. My iPad would last all day with the previous app, but since the update (7/2022), my iPad need to be connected to a power source all day.
Doesn’t support latest iPhone models
Tens of thousands for the RTC and Cyclone and still have to pay the yearly subscription to use this app, where remote activation of the instrument is critical. Also does not connect to iPhone 12 or 13 as I’ve tried so far.
Lacks robustness
This app crashes like crazy and has many glitches - and has for years. While it’s worlds better than Recap, know that you will still have headaches using Field 360.
