This is a garbage app and the $300.00 plus hub is worthless. Totally stuck in a loop where the SSID broadcast from the Hub is not the same as shown in the in App directions. The App will also not recognize the SSID to connect. Documentation and support is severely lacking and looks like it was written by the intern. In fact this Hub and App look like the entire project was given to interns with zero supervision. I can do better with Home Assistant and some code from GitHub. Bottom line don;t. waste your time or money.
We purchased these blinds in July. Had no issues at all pairing with the hub or with Alexa. Would give them 5 stars, until just this last week. Every other day, the app just deletes our hub and blinds, making us go scan the hub and reconnect and name all the blinds again. Becoming very frustrating. Will update my review if I can get this issue resolved. Overall, we love these blinds. Just this minor issue at the moment. The remote still works for all of them.
Honestly I didn’t have high expectations after reading the reviews but the app and pairing has worked great for us. We had some problems with getting a few shades to pair but discovered if you have them charging when you pair the shade it works perfect. Might be an issue with a low battery straight out of the box. Follow the directions and the pairing is easy. (We also found pairing using the button on the shade and the app is the easiest)
My LEVOLOR zebra shades work well with the remote but my experience with the in-motion app and smart hub has simply been horrible. Was able to get everything connected and functioning as expected. It all suddenly stopped working 3 days later. I made no changes to WiFi network settings or anything. The app now crashes constantly and the hub blinks green after multiple resets and pairing attempts. USELESS!
Save your money on the hub. The best I have done is get 1 of 16 blinds connected and even then it doesn’t provide basic functionality. Any support from the company has been futile.
Awesome App. Paired right with the cellulars the first try no issues. Ive had my cellulars a week and absolutely love them! Worth the investment. 1 gripe: There is no HomeKit Support. With something this expensive and something that will be used for a whole home window treatment solution I don’t understand the decision to go with Siri Shortcuts that only work under personal automation shortcuts as oppose to full HomeKit integration where automation works with anyone giving the command. I had to make a bunch of Siri Shortcuts then share each then with my household just so everyone could have some voice control. Not a great setup experience imo. I’d at least like the choice to add to home kit.
The app instructions are very poor and it’s not intuitive. The programming is nearly impossible. I refused to spend time figuring this out. Terrible UserX planning. I bought 14 shades and they are all defective. Very disappointed!
I was pulling my hair out for a couple of days until I decided to try something different. When connecting the shades to the app, the directions say to hold the pairing button on the remote until the shade moves or beeps. They moved, but would not connect to the app. I decided to try pushing the pairing button once, quickly and not holding it down. It WORKED! You have to do this twice before hitting “next” on the app. The shades are now connected and working with the hub and the app. I hope maybe this helps someone else. I gave it a 4 star because the directions could be clearer and there is no option for help, except for the chat, in case they do not connect. I have not tried them with Alexa or Siri yet.
I’m a professional programmer and this is the worst application I’ve ever seen. No cancel button, awkward to use, frustrating to use. Absolutely the worst 🤧 Be ready for a terrible day
