Cannot work
After upgrading, I am not able to find the paint option anymore. The main reason I got the LIFX Beam set. Also the previous added black color option is also gone. Could you all get all these back to work??!?!
Terribly buggy after iOS 14 and watchOS 7. Complications won’t work, neither does the app on the watch. iOS app sometimes freezes and doesn’t show lights.
With this fancy but utterly unusable release old bulbs can not be seen anymore. Poor quality testing of the app (recurrent with LIFX), my old bulbs are stuck on the setting new device page. Nothing is happening. So now I have 10ish unusable bulbs everywhere in the home. I deeply regret having invested in this company on Kickstarter, they promised HomeKit integration, it came only with newer products, and even that it is super complicated to setup. So if you want to keep sane: DON’T BUY LIFX!!!
It takes forever to pair lights and the app UI is so confusing. There is no way to delete already existing group or light.
First you removed all my favourites, so my iPhone widget becomes totally useless. Then it took me 5 minutes to figure out how to favourite a scene with the new UI. Your designers seem more interested in making stuff pretty than making them usable. Making the title of scenes double as buttons is not intuitive at all. Not only that, this means that, depending on the name of the scene, the touch zone to activate the scene increases and decreases. Please hire designers who can think about usability as well, thanks.
Ever since they updated the firmware of my lights, the lights stopped working. They fail many times to get ip addresses from my routers and when they do connect up, they can't connect to the cloud which means they can't work with Amazon Alexa. Even after multiple app updates and multiple reset of the lights, the problem still persists. I do not recommend Lifx to anyone.
The hardware itself is great there are even ways to attach third party applications to it like the stream deck However the software can be a bit glitchy, might be something with how the WiFi works. Still cheaper that Philips without the plethora of blotware they make you install
The old version was better and if they changed it they should have done it like how Govee does theirs but this version they made I genuinely hate it
Hope everyone who works here gets mauled by feral negros
