Linearity Curve: Vector Design

This software is incredible for those who intend to spend money on a hobby of graphic design. The functionality is at a professional level. My greatest dislike with this software is the fact that you are unable to export files unless you pay to. This is positvely ridiculous. I want to export a 16x16 px png, and this software wont let me. Nothing will work in this program except the rendering, unless you pay.

I paid for Vectornator and was quite happy with the app. Then it prompted me to upgrade and didn’t warn me that it would be changing its name and moving essential features to a required subscription model. So essentially what I paid for is no longer available without me signing up for a subscription. Rude!

Vectornator used to be an amazing piece of hobbyist software that was great for basic vector editing that I used for projects like my sim-racing liveries and passion-projects that required vector images. Then they decided to change their name and become Linearity Curve. Then they decided to make everyone use their cloud service. Then they decided to add file restrictions to the free tier of their software. Then they decided to add export restrictions to their software. They told use that the cloud service was necessary for the animation software that we didn't ask for. I'm all for paying for development of good software. I'm happy to pay a subscription for software that I use for work that is getting useful updates for my workflow. I'm in the Adobe ecosystem for a couple of my tools I use for my job. Paying a subscription that exceeds the value I get from a product I use every couple of months as a hobbyist does not make financial sense if I can use a much more established and supported program like Illustrator for a little bit more that integrates with the software I already use for work. To me taking software that appealed to many as a cheap or free way to edit vector images and putting it into a locked down subscription model with a free tier that doesn't even allow the user to export files in the format they are created screams of Linearity jumping the shark. They've taken a product perfectly suited to hobbyists and locked the useful features behind a subscription. If Netlify and Cloudflare can provide a decent entry level offering for free, there is no reason Linearity can't do it too. Taking away vector exports is sadly the last nail in the coffin of my Vectornator/Linearity journey

Im so glad i get to use this app for SCHOOL when it was free cause now i have to pay to print, to add more documents. Just horrible i dont reccomend this app one bit, they just became one of those fitness app with a subscription. They just want money their face is money. Absolutely disgusting.

Export options are now limited. Frustrating for a casual user.

Gone the same route as other greedy developers BIG no from me, will be uninstalling

I launched my favorite SVG editor today only to discover that I now have to sign up for an account in order to proceed. I have no interest in Linearity Cloud and see no way to skip this step. I really loved this app but forcing a sign-in on people maybe wasn't the best idea.

The 😏new logo might suggest a kids colouring book but there is much more than meets the eye. It’s actually pretty impressive what it can do . I really wish there was an option too switch to a phone UI as it could be a great tool that way. To do some prep work on computer or iPad and do sone things on the fly. But the full screen gets cover by the menu part of the time. And it would be really ja foto see that you selected a photo and that it’s added to the file . Really hope the iOS gets its own UI adjustments

I have problems when importing images on vectornator, the color is bland, and is different to the original images, how can I fix it ? I believe this has something to do with color utilizing ?? My images use display P3 color profile

I wanted a vector/pen tool editor for use with my pencil and iPad. This app is fantastic!I would pay for such an intuitive and fully featured app. Great usability, I managed to work it out to create my idea within a couple of hours. Recommended!
