This app makes it so much easier to grasp the language you wish to learn.
I love the app, but there are some bugs that are really frustrating. Even when I do a lesson everyday, it resets my streak to 0 and lately no matter how many times I complete a lesson, it’s still marked as incomplete.
Love that there is Thai and Nepali. Hard to find these languages in other apps! Also love the mix of words and example sentences. Two requests for the developers: First, on older iPhones with our smaller screens the Ling interface often does not fit onscreen making it impossible to see parts of the question or of the answer that we need to select from. Second, for many languages that have non Latin script, learners need extra exercises to learn the script. Seeing a list just once is not enough! Keep up the good work!
This was great but it was confusing because they teach you a little too much when you start but it’s very cool! I hope when I’m done I’ll be able to speak fluent in no time
I am learning TAGALOG and it is very easy, entertaining, and short (depending on the time you chose) I have been struggling with TAGALOG and this app is helpful, it’s like DUOLINGO but I like LING better!
I am using this app to learn Thai. Given Duolingo doesn’t offer Thai, this is the closest experience I have found so far. It doesn’t really compare to Duolingo. The illustration sometimes isn't intuitive, and I encounter content error from time to time. The user experience isn’t joyful either. For example, I am writing this feedback because I am forced to update the app and now I have nothing else to do. I appreciate there is a web version, so whenever I am not on my phone, I can use the web version and the learning progress will sync. But not all content is available on the web, and there is one page on the web will automatically bring up my mail app to write an email to the support team (looks like something to volunteer as a content translator or some other sort). It’s a little annoying but bearable, just like mobile experience. But I do appreciate its existence. I might give a 2 star but considering I am not locked to mobile I give it to 3. In 2024, my experience suggested learning from a tutor or school is probably still the best way to learn Thai.
The app is a lot of fun to use, but there are errors in the Irish lessons. For example, the text and spoken Irish said, “Tá an buachaill dhá bhliain déag d’aois,” which means, “The boy is twelve.” But the app translated this as “The girl is eighteen,” which is not the correct translation. There were other errors too, such as “bheith ag spraoi” (to play games) being pronounced as “bheith mé ag spraoi” (I was playing games). Also, the streaks counter is always stuck at 1 even though the streak calendar shows multiple days in a row.
Attempting to learn Tagalog as an adult is no easy feat. Ling is breaking everything down and making it fun! Thank you.
Para aprender verbos, pronombres e iniciar en el aprendizaje como un niño. Muy intuitivo.
