Ling - Learn Thai Language

Very poor design where all your progress are wiped away in seconds. Clearly not professionally supported as none of the feedback is answered to. I paid the subscription but regretted very soon after using the app. Development of a quality product requires testing and proofing. LING people are clearly only interested in making a quick buck! Shame

This is a great I’m but Thai is quite hard but I’m only 14 but I wanna learn for when I go travelling but I’m learning quite well

I’ve been using this Thai language app for a while, and overall, it’s fantastic. The lessons are well-structured, the interactive features keep me engaged , and I’ve noticed real progress in my vocabulary and pronunciation. It’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into making the learning process both fun and effective. That said, I really wish there was a dark mode option. Spending time on the app at night or in low-light environments can strain the eyes, and dark mode would make a huge difference in terms of comfort. It’s a small feature, but it would go a long way in improving the user experience. Still, a great app for anyone looking to learn Thai—just hoping for that dark mode update soon!

Starts out fine, you think wow, this works. And then as you progress and you start to see how one third of the “functionality” doesn’t function, and then they release a flashy new upgrade that is even worse. Avoid. **The company released an update that is unusable on iPhone. They are well aware of this and refuse to refund or roll back. DO NOT BUY.

It’s good enough, it lets you speak, write as well. However, we only learn what’s in it, and not focused on the questions I got wrong etc (like how Duolingo does), so this could be a good improvement if they could introduce AI into this app. The reason why I dedided to leave a comment is, when I updated the app, it was reset, and although I’m a prescriber, I couldn’t access more than lesson 1, which is free. I contacted the customer centre, I didn’t have to wait for even 12hrs to get a reply, they adjusted it so it was linked again. What a smooth help I received! Thanks Rob from the support centre :)

It is really simple to use and you catch on quick

I was clicked baited into buying this app via a TicTok video. Looked really good, just what I needed. Turns out the app was completely different and needs a lot of navigating to use. Words and phrases for travel are none existent like the adds will make you believe.

Its very fun and will help learn to connect with my family and friends. I would recommend especially for someone new to thai! 😁

I love it! Quite unique as an app definitely recommend so far

The app is expensive and doesn’t give you enough free content to give the user the confidence that there will be enough good-quality paid content. The low quality of the visual design and slightly sub-par UX means that I can’t trust that there is anything good about the learning experience. If an app maker can’t be bothered to produce a high quality experience, then why would I expect them to deliver high quality learning? The prompts to pay for a subscription after just one lesson makes me feel like the app maker will just take the money and run, without delivering a sustained level of content. Why would I subscribe if I have no confidence in the service?
