Well designed but quite buggy
I needed this app to regroup my highlighted text in one document so I can make a summery using them. Unfortunately, the app mixed the order of my highlights making me lose a lot of time, so i can rearrange the text. It would also separate my highlight a repeat it. Maybe it’s because it is not in English but i still dont understand why it mixes the order or cuts a highlight that appears in on the app. I would suggest the developers to look into this. Issue
Love it even with its flaws
I am a médecine student and I’ve been using this app for 3 years. It has its flaws like the lack of an option to export your entire library and it crashes from time to time but the functionality it offers is just unparalleled and can’t be found in any other app. You can have 30 documents concerning a subject and do your own memo sheet by extracting the text and the images instead of writing it yourself, saves so much time. Tdlr. It’s amazing if you can use the workspace to your advantage and I believe most people can
You need serious UX/UI help
The app is in principle very useful. BUT you guys need seriously to retouch asap the UX/UI. Cannot be that looks like a crappy Windows app. The app Highlights has way better UX/UI. Invest in design and this app will fly.
Notes deleted by buugs
Notes were sometimes deleted and changed position with syncing of windows and ipad. This should not happen…
Syncing files
How is it possible that there is no syncing option that's not locked behind a subscription? Just let me have a backup on my iCloud.
Expensive
In the free version, you can only extract parts or write text in a rectangle. Not really helpful. And just for annotating, I’m not ready to either pay 29.- for a partial version or at least 8.- per month. I stay with the Nr.1 note taking app. Doesn’t have annotating beside an imported pdf, just on it. But that’s enough for me. I need extensive note taking features, and I got that for half the price.
Negativ
Also, Preise sind übertrieben TEUER! Die App ist nicht einmal „fertig“ implementiert. Die Farben für Highlights sind geschmacklos. Eine blöde Farbe kommt, wenn man das Summary anschauen will. Im Workspace herrscht ein Chaos. Warm kann man keine Drop Downs verwenden? Synch geht praktisch nicht. Solange die App keinen Ordner in iCloud hat und man über Apple Files darauf zugreift, ist alles mit Synch lauter Quatsch.
Alles toll ausser PDF Export
Durch das Erstellen von Links zwischen Dokumenten verstehe ich Material schneller und besser. Auch das Dokument Snapshot Tool ist sehr hilfreich. Was leider noch nicht so gut funktioniert ist der PDF Export. Die Seiten werden nicht eins zu eins vom Workspace zu PDF umgewandelt, sondern davor formatiert wobei auch wichtige Informationen wie Tags verloren gehen.
Since Major Update more stability issues
I have been working on a document and the pdf did not show anymore. Luckily I saved the project somewhere else and reimported it. This shouldn’t be happening. In the former version I never had issues like those. As for the workspace, I would be glad if one could chance the font size for an excerpt more easily than selecting all text and changing it then cumbersomely ...
